Love Island bombshell Konnor's hidden link to the show - as he poses with ITV star
Love Island continues to shake up the villa with the arrival of bodacious bombshells - including Cornwall-based single Konnor Ewudzi, 28. The rugby player has already stirred up trouble within the cast, having picked Grace Jackson - who is romantically involved with Joey Essex - in the latest recoupling.
However, the ongoing series isn't the first experience of Love Island glamour for Konnor - who has rubbed shoulders with stars of the ITV dating show in the past.
Way back in 2019, Konnor took to Instagram to post a picture of himself with 2018 series star Wes Nelson on a night out. Alongside the evening snap, Konnor wrote: "Last night went OWFF."
Konnor's friends took to the comments to urge him to sign up for the ITV2 show - which he went on to do five years later. "#konnorgetinthevilla @loveisland," one friend commented.
Another wrote: "Konnor get in the villa!" Meanwhile, another friend pointed out how similar Konnor and Wes look, writing: "Like twins bah."
Wes took part in the fourth series of Love Island, making it to the final with co-star Megan Barton-Hanson. The couple came in fourth place, with Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham winning the show.
While Wes is no longer with Megan, he has since launched a music career, making it into the charts with songs like See Nobody, Nice to Meet Ya, Drive with Clean Bandit and Abracadabra with Craig David. As for TV, Wes has competed on Dancing on Ice, 8 Out of 10 Cats, The X Factor: Celebrity, Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins and Channel 4's The Games.
Now wreaking havoc in the Love Island villa, Konnor left viewers in stitches after picking Grace in the recoupling. With Joey left visibly shocked, one viewer wrote on social media: "The funniest recoupling ever #LoveIsland." Another said: "joey thought omar was a problem but look at konnor coming thru i love it here."
Another said: “Grace lowkey told konnor to pick her #loveisland.” A fourth added: “i’m so glad konnor picked grace, joey needed to be humbled #LoveIsland.”
Meanwhile, after Omar Nyame and Tiffany Leighton were dramatically dumped from the show during Sunday's episode, fans took to social media to reveal that they were "sick to death" of the constant switches in couples.
One viewer lamented: "Sick of all these recouplings omg." Another chimed in: "Why so many recoupling sessions? ? ? ? I miss the old Love Island"
