Lorraine Kelly showed her patriotic side this week as she shared her hopes for the Scotland side during their UEFA European Football Championship game against Germany tonight (14 June). However, the tartan-clad presenter was met with quite a reception as a crowd of rowdy football fans got involved while she gave a live interview on the match.

The TV personality chatted with BBC Sport Scotland live on the scene as she stood outside of Munich's Allianz Arena, where the match is taking place, and was joined by many members of the tartan army. "The fans have been, just, unbelievable," said Lorraine as she admitted to being 'quietly confident' about Scotland's chance for the match.

The Glasgow-born star then waved to the fans around her, with the camera panning to the many football top-clad supporters circling her as they cheered. The fans then began to not only chant for Scotland's team, but for Lorraine too. "No Lorraine, No Party," they chanted in a twist to "No Scotland, No Party", as Lorraine giggled in front of the camera.

"You're getting serenaded here, what has it been like for you walking around the fans today? Has it been a busy time," questioned the BBC reporter. Not phased at all by the fans, Lorraine beamed as she replied: "It's been fantastic! Everybody has been so nice, it doesn't matter what team you support back home, we're all Scottish fans today. And that's the main thing."

Lorraine has been interacting with the tartan army since arriving in Munich this week, with her travels and coverage of the game featuring on Friday morning's instalment of her eponymous show, Lorraine.

The trip to Germany comes after Lorraine celebrated her daughter Rosie Smith's 30th birthday at an epic bash in London earlier this week. Rosie, who is expecting her first child with her partner Steve, took to Instagram to share a look inside the party, held earlier this week at The Draper's Arms in Islington.

Rosie's TV star mum was pictured alongside her guests enjoying the party, where they drank personalised Champagne bottles that featured an image of Ruby, Rosie's beloved mini wire-haired dachshund, and read: "Ruby's birthday fizz."

Ahead of the party, Lorraine, 64, shared a touching tribute to her only child. "Happy Birthday to my beautiful, kind, lovely girl," she penned on Instagram.

"Can’t believe you came into the world THIRTY years ago - and you will soon be a mum yourself. So proud of you @rosiekellysmith #happybirthday #love #proud."
