Loose Women star Linda Robson split from husband after being left disappointed in the bedroom
Linda Robson has openly discussed the reasons behind her split from husband Mark Dunford, after their marriage spanned three decades. The 65 year old Loose Women star didn't shy away from sharing the intimate details that led to the end of their relationship, including her dissatisfaction with their bedroom life.
The actress, also famed for her role in Birds Of A Feather, is now on the hunt for a new pad in Islington where she plans to live with just her beloved dog, having decided to sell the family home.
Linda has previously mentioned that over time, she and Mark, who share two children, Louis, 32, and Bobbie, 28, "simply grew apart". She's even described herself as 'celibate', admitting that they stopped being intimate and that she had lost interest in pursuing romance.
Linda's history with Mark goes way back to their teenage years, although they only started dating much later. Reflecting on their early days in 2017, Linda said: "I used to babysit for Mark he was a couple of years younger than me... I was 16 and he was 13 and a half, and he was a bit of a pain, to be honest. And we lived in the street next to each other," reports the Mirror.
It all came to light when Linda Robson and her eldest daughter Lauren, now 40, bumped into Mark Dunford in the park, leading to a whirlwind romance that saw them marry in 1990.
But as time went on, Linda didn't shy away from sharing the less-than-perfect aspects of their long-term marriage. On an episode of Loose Women, she got candid about the challenges they faced, confessing that their relationship wasn't always smooth sailing and even hinting at a self-imposed celibacy.
"Can I just say I've been celibate for two years? " Linda shared with viewers, "I can't be a**** with all that [romance stuff]. I'm just happy going out with my mates and my children and my grandchildren."
However, the story took a turn when Linda confirmed to Woman magazine that she was indeed single, reflecting on her past with Mark: "He's a really good dad and we had some good years, but enough is enough. I've got my family and my kids around me. And I'm going on a cruise with Lesley Joseph in November. I'm keeping busy."
Linda then confessed in candid chat with OK! that she and Mark had been growing apart for some time, saying: "People do, sometimes, don't they? We never had that much in common. I'm very sociable. Mark never enjoyed that side of thing."
The mum-of-two believes their relationship lasted for over three decades because of their children, who are now adults with their own lives. Despite being back on the singles market, Linda isn't looking for love.
Chatting with OK!, she exclaimed: "I don't need a man. I've got my friends and my family. I'm not interested in dating, I'm too old now. I can't be bothered with all that 'jiggy jiggy'."
