'Like putting on slippers': These podiatrist-approved sneakers are down to $27

More than 24,000 5-star fans say these walking shoes are gloriously comfy and supportive, even if you're on your feet all day.

Tired of gift shopping? It might be time to find a little room in the budget for yourself — especially a practical buy that can see you through the next year in comfort and style. Amazon has slashed prices on Doussprt Women's Walking Shoes, which have amassed quite a fan base. They start at just $27, and 24,000-plus reviewers say they'll make your feet very happy. (Of course, if you're looking to make someone else's feet happy, you can do that too. They'll be here before Christmas if you order ASAP.)

A solid rubber sole with an air cushion puts some extra pep in your step, and a perforated arch allows for ventilation and breathability during long days on your feet.

Why is this a good deal? 💰

If you've been shopping around for good walking shoes, we don't have to tell you that the prices can be shockingly high — as much as $150 for popular brands like Hoka. Even at their regular price, these are affordable. But add a discount and you've got an unbeatable bargain.

Why do I need this? 🤔

Bona fide foot doctors give these sneakers the thumbs-up. "Stability, or support, is probably the most important quality of a sneaker or any other shoe that someone will wear if they are to be on their feet for more than a few minutes at a time," Richard H. Graves, a podiatrist with Sol Foot & Ankle Centers in Longwood, Calif., tells Yahoo. And these sneakers have support in spades.

They're slip-ons with a flexible knit upper, which means no fumbling with shoelaces or Velcro straps. To keep the bottoms of your feet comfortable, they have wide toe boxes, solid rubber soles and air cushions — all features that can cut down on aches and pains during a long, active day.

What reviewers say 💬

Fans rave about the comfort and stability of these top-sellers — and over 24,000 have given them a five-star review.

Pros 👍

"Very comfortable," said one hard-working fan. "Been trying to find comfortable work shoes, and these did great ... very comparable to those nursing [shoes], tried those also. I work in a warehouse on concrete floors standing for eight hours a day."

"I love the fit, comfort and style of this shoe!" said another shopper. "I have ordered them in three different colors but although they are all the same type of shoe, each pair has slightly different detail. But for the price point and comfort, they are awesome! Not to mention they look great! I have a wide foot and need arch support to deal with my foot issues, and this style checks all the boxes for me. I have and will continue to order this shoe."

"I saw these on a waitstaff person when eating out," shared a third rave reviewer. "I asked her about them and she said how much she loved them and wrote down the information to order on Amazon. I was excited when my order arrived. Sure enough, these are like putting on slippers. ... I will not be working out in them since they are not snug enough to be on a treadmill or to run in, but I could walk in these all day!"

Cons 👎

"The only problem that I have experienced with them is that they are rather slick on the bottoms," a safety-conscious buyer wrote. "The outer sole is some sort of hard-formed plastic/rubber that has ridges in it ... I noticed right away that they are somewhat slick on my hardwood floors. I thought as I wore them that they would scuff and create more contact but they have not as of today. They are fine on sidewalks and pavement."

A handful of other reviewers say the knit upper can make it tricky to get these shoes on. "Very comfortable; however, it is very difficult for me to put on unlike other slip-ons," said this final shopper. "The back of the shoe is not rigid. Would be awesome if it is."

Choose from 19 colors, whether you want to stay neutral with this light gray pair or mix things up with vibrant red, purple or blue.
