Lesley Manville will be back on screens in new series of crime drama
We were so delighted when TV crime drama Moonflower Murders, the next series of the Anthony Horowitz series Magpie Murders, hit our screens on BBC One in 2024. So we're excited to hear that the third and final series, Marble Hall Murders, will start filming in March.
The series will see Lesley Manville and Tim McMullen return to their lead roles in the series, based on the books by the same names by Anthony Horowitz.
Each series has seen Lesley Manville's character Susan Ryeland plunged into a novel from the Atticus Pünd series by author Alan Conway, as she must use the clues to solve a real-life murder.
In Marble Hall Murders, Susan returns to England and is drawn into a new Atticus Pünd mystery written by a new, young writer and set in a villa in Corfu. Like in Moonflower Murders, the identity of a real-life killer is hidden in the text. Susan must use it to uncover who killed Miriam Crace, the most famous children’s author in the world. It sounds like it's going to be as gripping a watch as the previous series of the show!
The BBC has confirmed that filming for the new series will commence in March in locations in London, Dublin and Corfu.
Speaking about the new series, Anthony Horowitz said: "I’m so happy to bring the team back – stars, director, producers, and crew – for a third instalment of what has been a fantastically successful TV series. I have a feeling this could be the best yet."
We can't wait for the next series to hit our screens!
