Lee Mead has told how he underwent a hair transplant because having a high hairline had dented his confidence.
The singer and TV star, 41, was known for his head of thick curls but revealed that they had actually been hiding a receding hairline.
He recently jetted off to Turkey to have the procedure and showed off his new close-cropped look during an appearance on This Morning.

Mead told the ITV show's hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary that there was nothing wrong with being bald but that it came down to personal choice.
"For me, I was receding underneath and it affected my confidence," he shared.
"There are so many theatre jobs where you wear a wig or TV parts and things that I don't think that matters at all, but it was a personal, confidence thing."
Mead also said that he might keep his shaved head for a while because his partner was a fan of his new look.
He told the presenters: "My partner said, 'It looks quite sexy, I quite like it.' I was like, 'Oh! Nice!'"
"So I am thinking of keeping it short for a while," added the star.
The TV star — who has a daughter with his former flame Denise Van Outen — previously shared some videos on Instagram that showed him having the hair transplant procedure carried out in Istanbul.
