King Charles 'must sit down' with Meghan and Harry and say 'I'm sorry' in difficult conversation says Piers

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shouldn't be using their Royal titles, Piers Morgan has claimed. The TV presenter slammed the couple, who stepped down from Royal duties in 2020.

Harry, 39, and Meghan, 42, were stripped of their HRH titles after leaving the Royal Family, but the pair occasionally still use their Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles. When King Charles, 75, became King, Harry and Meghan's two children became Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet of Sussex.

Piers, 59, has discussed the pair's use of titles, claiming King Charles should sit down with them for a chat. He said the monarch should tell Harry and Meghan they cannot use the titles.

"They shouldn't be using the titles of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex bestowed on them by the monarchy," he claimed on The Megyn Kelly Show.

Piers added: "I hope that King Charles - who is massively distracted by his illness - will at some stage have that conversation and say, 'You can't keep the titles. I'm sorry.'"

He went on to say that the pair should not be able to "trade on their titles" and drop the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The outspoken TV presenter has not shied away from sharing his opinion on the Sussexes over the years, having criticised them on several occasions.

Harry and Meghan's relationship with the Royals has remained strained since they stepped down from Royal duties in March 2020. The couple relocated to California and have only returned to the UK on a handful of occasions, such as Queen Elizabeth II's funeral in September 2022.

Harry will soon travel to London however, in order to attend a ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games at St Paul’s Cathedral on 8 May. The King is also expected to be in London at this time, meaning it is likely the father and son could reunite.

Harry and Charles last reunited earlier this year when the monarch publicly announced his cancer diagnosis. Harry jetted to the UK to see his dad in person following the news.

Harry's upcoming stay in London will be brief, with sources close to the Royal Family saying that the meeting between Harry and the King, if it happens, will be short due to the King’s packed schedule. The monarch is scheduled to appear at a weekly audience with the Prime Minister and also attend the first Buckingham Palace Garden Party.

Meanwhile, Meghan has launched her latest business venture, American Riviera Orchard, which is a lifestyle brand. She has also been working on a new podcast with Lemonada. She is also an executive producer on Harry's new Netflix polo show, with details soon to be released about the upcoming project.
