Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom make red carpet debut after two years of dating
For any celebrity couple, the red carpet debut is a milestone moment. Not only does it show you’re officially ‘a thing’, it presents you as a united front to all onlookers and naysayers.
Two years since they started dating, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom finally shared a red carpet with one another at the Gala for the Global Ocean at the Opera of Monte-Carlo in Monaco.
While the actor, 41, and pop star, 33, were far from touchy-feely, they looked pretty happy and comfortable in one another’s company.
Hosted by Prince Albert II of Monaco, the awards welcomed artists and philanthropists to promote sustainable oceans and raise money for protecting them.
For the occasion, Orlando looked sharp in a black and white suit, without a tie, while Katy rocked a figure-hugging, ruched pink dress with disco ball sleeves.
It hasn’t been total plain-sailing for Katy and Orlando since they first got together in early 2016, after being spotted flirting at the 2016 Golden Globes after-party.
The rest of the year saw some sweet couple selfies, some naked paddle-boarding and Orlando spending Christmas with Katy’s family, before the pair shockingly broke up in February 2017.
Later that year, the couple were spotted at an Ed Sheeran concert together, and were later photographed holidaying in the Maldives in January 2018, thus confirming their reunion.
