If you’re heading out to Worthy Farm for Glastonbury Festival this weekend, don’t get a fright if you see Joseph Quinn wandering around the Pyramid Strange or busting a move at Shangri’La.

The actor, who stars alongside Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong'o in the pair’s latest film A Quiet Place: Day One, opened up to ELLE UK that he has ‘burnt a hole’ in his schedule to make it to the festival this weekend.

‘I can’t wait. I’m looking forward to seeing Fontaines D.C. I think they’re going to be amazing. If I have to pick between Dua Lipa and Fontaines DC I’m going to try to get the best of both worlds because she’s going to put a brilliant show,’ he added of the Friday night headliner.

The pair star in the third instalment in the A Quiet Place film franchise, in a spin-off prequel to the first film. The film sees the pair navigate New York City after it comes under attack from an alien invasion in total silence as the mysterious creatures are drawn to the slightest sound.

Sound might get you killed in A Quiet Place, but for these actors, they’d love to follow in the steps of their other co-star, Gladiator’s Djimon Hounsou, who once made their music video debut in Madonna’s ‘Express Yourself’. When asked which musician they’d love to star in the music video of, Quinn responded Alex Wolff (aka their fellow A Quiet Place co-star), while Lupita would choose the work of Kendrick Lamar.

The pair also discussed the fact N’yong’o once attended Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and Beyonce’s Renaissance tour while on vocal rest, as well as revealing what shows they’re watching at the moment.

‘The Palm Royale – it’s quite intriguing,’ revealed N’yong’o of her current TV obsession. ‘Kristen Wiig… you expect comedic work from her but she plays a tawdry character. It’s dark sunshine. It’s strange and very cool.’

In the actor’s latest film, Nyong’o’s character Sam not only befriend’s Quinn’s Eric, but also has a cat named Frodo for company, which caused the Academy Award winner quite the predicament before filming.

‘When I read the script, I loved the character, and I loved the story that Michael was telling with this film. It's a very surprising tone that he's added to this universe. The cat, that was the sticking point for me,’ she told Digital Spy.

‘I actually tried to get him to change the animal. He was like, “No it has to be a cat”. Because I wanted to play the role, I had to get over my fear of cats. I went through cat therapy. They brought me cats to my home.

‘It started with two, and the first day, they just let the cats roam around me, and I asked the woman who brought the cats questions about why they were doing certain things. The next day, I touched one with one finger and slowly, slowly I got comfortable enough to hold a cat through this film.’

A Quiet Place: Day One is released in UK cinemas on June 27 and in US cinemas on June 28.
