A mum who was left feeling "mortified" after being told she was too big to go on a waterslide while on holiday has seen an incredible 8st 1lb (51kg) weight loss.

Sian Doulton, a maternity support worker from Sandbach, Cheshire, was celebrating her 30th birthday in Tenerife with her husband Graham Doulton, 41.

At the time she weighed 19st 2.8lb (122kg), and describes feeling like a "hot sweaty mess" during the trip.

But the turning point for Sian came when she tried to go on a waterslide and was told her frame was too large, which she described as being "so embarrassing".

The incident left the mum-of-three wanting to make changes to her diet and lifestyle and when she got back to the UK she signed up for the 1:1 Diet by Cambridge Weight Plan.

After switching oven-ready meals, takeaways and snacks, for healthier options, Sian lost 8st 1lb and said she feels like "a new woman".

Describing how her size impacted her on the holiday Sin explains: "Walking around the resort my legs would be chafing.

"I would walk around the beach and I couldn't walk very far."

Recalling the incident at the resort's waterpark, Sian says: "I went to go on a waterslide and the lifeguard told me I was too big.

"I was mortified, I couldn't believe it - it was so embarrassing.

"I knew that something had to change."

Having made the commitment to transform her lifestyle, Sian started cutting down on sugar, carbohydrates and fat and documenting her journey on social media @slim.with.sian.

"I have tried to lose weight before but it has never clicked," she explains. "I thought it was going to be much much harder,

"But with the structure of the diet, it was so easy and freeing."

For the first 12 weeks, just sticking with the diets meal replacements and not taking up any exercise she lost around 4st (25kg), but after the first 23 weeks she started increasing her steps.

And after eight months, she now weights a trim 11st 1lbs (70kg) and has dropped from a size 22 to a size 10, which has meant she's had to buy an entire new wardrobe.

"I don't know how to explain it. I don't feel like me, it is almost like I have imposter syndrome," she says of her weight loss.

"It is really weird with how people are seeing me - it is just so different. I went to a conference with work and they were giving out free t-shirts.

"A woman looked at me and was like 'here is a medium it will fit you fine'. I was like 'no no I need an XL' but the medium did fit perfectly."
