'What's the worst that could happen?' At first, we interpret the question as negative and pessimistic. But there is actually something positive and motivational about it. It does suggest that a 'worst case' scenario isn't likely to pose the problem we believe it will. That, in a nutshell, is the belief that you should adhere to now.
