Henry Cavill expecting first child with girlfriend Natalie Viscuso: 'We're very excited'
Henry Cavill has announced he is expecting his first child with girlfriend Natalie Viscuso.
The star, 40, confirmed the joyous news with Access Hollywood at the premiere of The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare in New York City on Monday.
He told the outlet: I'm very excited about it. Natalie and I are both very excited about it. I'm sure you'll see much more of that."
Before the interview wrapped, the reporter added that the movie star will make “a great dad.” “Thank you,” he replied with a smile.
Henry and Hollywood executive Natalie, 34, have been dating for nearly three years now, with the Justice League star making their relationship Instagram official in 2021 with a snap of them playing chess.
"This is me looking quietly confident shortly before my beautiful and brilliant love Natalie, destroys me at chess," Henry wrote in a caption to his post at the time.
Natalie shared the photo on her own profile and teased her boyfriend in her caption, saying that she was "teaching my dear Henry how to play some chess...or...maybe he let me win?"
The couple made their red carpet debut at the premiere of Enola Holmes 2 in 2022.
In 2017, Henry opened up to Men's Health about becoming a father one day. He said: "If I ever have kids one day, I want to be the dad who's running round after them.
"And if I do have kids, even now, it's starting to get quite late. But I want to be a fit and healthy dad, not hobbling round like, 'OK, I'm just going to catch a breather."
As a teenager, Natalie, who is the former Vice President of TV at Vertigo Entertainment, starred on the MTV hit My Super Sweet 16.
The episode's synopsis read: "At 15 years old, Natalie is now living in a $5 million house and cruising around town in her dad's Bentleys and Ferraris. What more could she want? How about being the most popular girl at school?"
In the episode, it was revealed that Natalie originally hailed from 'sleepy Roswell, New Mexico,' but relocated to La Jolla, California, with her father and his then-fiance.
Natalie's dad Michael is a former nightclub mogul, which led to her appearance on the TV series.
Before this, she held the position of vice president of television and digital studios at Legendary Entertainment.
It's one of the production companies behind Henry's movies Man of Steel (2013) and Enola Holmes (2020).
