Harry and Meghan 'celebrate Archie's fifth birthday with adorable balloon arrangement'

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appear to have celebrated Archie's fifth birthday with a sweet balloon bouquet. Prince Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor turned five on 6 May, with a professional balloon company based in California sharing a custom-made balloon display with the Prince’s name.

Ventura County Balloons took to their Instagram stories to share the adorable sculpture with the caption: “Balloon bouquets all day, every day! DM to book and surprise loved ones!” The picture showed a huge silver inflatable number five surrounded by an array of different-shaped multicoloured balloons.

The lavish celebratory design also featured a sweet message which read: “Happy birthday Archie”. A separate star-shaped gold balloon contained only the young royal's name, while a second white one was decorated with the words 'Happy Birthday'.

There was also a feature transparent balloon in the display which contained smaller brightly coloured balloons within it. Meghan and Harry don’t appear in the snap which appears to have been taken in a quiet residential area, but the Daily Mail reports that the bouquet was likely designed for the young prince.

Ventura County Balloons, who say they are experts in 'creating unforgettable experiences', also provide bespoke balloon arrangements for weddings, baby showers, and corporate events.

It comes following the news that Prince Harry will not be visiting his father King Charles during his trip to the UK. The Duke of Sussex arrived in England on Tuesday, 7 May, following a solo journey from California, with wife Meghan Markle remaining in California.

His spokesperson put it down to a clash in diaries, and the busy schedule King Charles has to attend to, since he returned to Royal duties after being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.

"It unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme," said the statement from Harry's team.

"The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon."

Harry is scheduled to attend an event on 8 May at St Paul's Cathedral to mark 10 years of the Invictus Games. He founded the games back in 2014.

ITV's royal editor Chris Ship confirmed Harry's arrival at 1pm on Tuesday, saying: "Prince Harry is in the UK. He landed here ahead of his St Paul’s Cathedral service tomorrow to mark 10 years of the @WeAreInvictus which he founded in 2014. He’s doing some Invictus related events today."

Chris confirmed Harry had travelled alone, with Meghan not planning to join him in the UK. She will reunite with her husband later in the week for a trip to Nigeria.
