Another day, another dollop of fitness inspiration from a celebrity.
Just yesterday we got some #MondayMotivation from none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger, and now we’re looking to Halle Berry to fire up our fitness mojo.
Despite looking decades younger, Halle Berry is actually celebrating her 52 birthday today (we know, we can’t believe it either!)
If you’re anything like us, you’ll be desperate to find out how the actress seems to defy the ageing process and maintain her youthful looks.
It’s #FitnessFriday AGAIN! Today I’m proud to share my new #yoga pose. Thanks to all of you, I got super inspired and challenged myself to a head stand! I continue to challenge each of you to try new poses as well and share them with me by tagging #FitnessFridayHB. Today, let’s talk not just about yoga poses, but also about the meditative aspects of yoga. Many argue that some of the happiest people are those who spend time each day meditating. I can tell you that I’ve felt happier and more like my best self since I started. I’ve learned that meditation helps to balance your left brain and right brain, and as a result I feel more creative, I can absorb information faster and I experience better emotional health. #Meditation also helps me stay in touch with my “little me”, that little girl who keeps me curious and open to the newness of each day and every new experience that comes my way. Meditation keeps me connected to God, Mother Earth, a higher power or whatever you prefer, and reminds me that while we are all on a solo journey, we are never alone! So today, if you don’t already, try to find 20 minutes to meditate or pray. If you can make this ritual a part of your dailies, watch how your life will transform! Also today on my IG Stories and fitness highlight, I’m sharing my keto lunch. Enjoy 💪🏽❤️

But we can certainly gleam some hints from her Instagram platform, which she’s been busy using to share her lifestyle and health tips with her 2.8 million followers.
When it comes to working out, the ‘Monster’s Ball’ star details her, often gruelling, regime via her motivational #FitnessFriday posts.
From gravity defying yoga poses, to the power of stillness and having fun while you’re exercising, the actress delivers a little slice of inspiration to those wanting to up their fitness, mental wellbeing and keep the ageing process at bay.
In one of her posts, the actress shared that she is in the “best shape of her life.” And that’s thanks to working out five times a week. As well as yoga, other cardio, and weights, Halle also regularly boxes with trainer Peter Lee Thomas.
Yay…it’s #FitnessFriday! Today we are doing the 10×10 Lunch Crunch! I know many of you may feel like you don’t have enough time to work out…well Peter and I have the answer for you. This is a 10 minute #workout that you can do anywhere, from your office to any small space you might find yourself in. Here’s how it works: You set a timer for 10 minutes and you do 10 exercises for 10 reps each. See how many sets of 10 you can do within 10 minutes. I like to do The Lunch Crunch when I’m working and all I have is a 30 minute lunch break so this allows me to still get the job done. You can find these 10 moves in my IG Stories and Fitness icon. Also people are always asking me what kind of snacks I eat, so today on my Stories I’m sharing two of my favorite #keto low-calorie snacks. Enjoy the workout and let me know how many Lunch Crunch sets you can do in 10 minutes. No excuses…we all have 10 minutes! Go get it! 💪🏽♥️ #FitnessFridayHB

But it isn’t just working out that Halle credits for her age-defying looks, the actress also believes meditation is key to a happier, healthier life.
“Many argue that some of the happiest people are those who spend time each day meditating. I can tell you that I’ve felt happier and more like my best self since I started,” she wrote in a recent Instagram post.
“I’ve learned that meditation helps to balance your left brain and right brain, and as a result I feel more creative, I can absorb information faster and I experience better emotional health.”
When it comes to her diet, the actress swears that following a ‘ketogenic’ lifestyle not only contributes to her envious physique, but also helps manage her type 2 diabetes.
“Keto is a very low-carb food plan which actually forces your body to burn fat like crazy. I also believe it’s been largely responsible for slowing down my aging process,” she wrote on her Instagram recently.
“The keto lifestyle offers so many benefits such as weight loss, (moms that’s how we get rid of our baby bellies), appetite control, more energy and better mental performance. If you’re like me, you can possibly reverse type 2 diabetes, you’ll experience better physical endurance, better skin and also less acne if that’s an issue.”
Today’s #FitnessFriday is about embracing your power, hence my #WakandaForever t-shirt. There is a lot of strength and power in stillness. I find that having the ability to be still and calm in the most stressful situations is extremely powerful and empowering. Lord knows I have faced my fair share of adversity—as I’m sure many of you have—and the ability to be still and access my personal power has been a lifesaver. So today Peter and I share exercises on my IG Stories and Fitness Icon that help you embrace your power through the stillness. These exercises not only help you with your physical strength and stamina but they also encourage your mental strength and help you access your personal power. Hold each of these exercises for 30 seconds to one minute, but if your fitness level allows hold as long as you possibly can. Let’s go into the weekend feeling our #personalpower. Enjoy ✊🏽♥️ #FitnessFridayHB

And there’s one particular dish that the actress praises for keeping her skin looking young – bone broth.
“You can make it,” she told Extra. “You can go to the butcher and get all the bones they’re going to throw away and he’ll give them to you for free. Take the bones, boil them up for 24 hours, and you drink the broth. It’s so full of collagen that it’s crazy.”
*heads off to the butcher in search of bones*
