"I Had No Idea It Was Weird Until People's Looks Of Absolute Horror": People Are Revealing The Habit That They Do That Other People Find Extremely Disturbing

While it's normal for people to have certain quirks, others might find some of their "habits" a little... weird. So when Reddit user u/[deleted] asked, "What’s a habit or quirk that you have that other people find strange but you think is completely normal?" so many people provided their vulnerable answers. Here's what they said below.

."I have this habit of whispering 'thank you' to inanimate objects when I’m done using them — like when I put my phone down or close a book. It just feels rude to leave them hanging without some kind of acknowledgment. I’ve done it for so long that it feels totally normal, but my roommate once caught me thanking the microwave and now won’t stop giving me grief about it."

."I sing to myself (words, phrases, nonsense) and make weird noises/sound effects. I didn’t notice how much I did it until I was carrying my 3-year-old niece around, and she was singing and making odd noises in my ear. I thought to myself, 'What is this goofy kid doing??' Then I said, 'Wooooooo!! Up!' while we were walking around, and she chimed in perfectly. Oh, she’s copying me."

."I eat my meals in reverse order of desire-ability, so the worst thing on the plate gets eaten first, and the best is saved for last. Each item is eaten independently with no mixing of the food."

."I look through restaurant menus for fun even when I have no intention of going there anytime soon. Someone thought it was weird doing it when I had no intention of going."

"Yeah, for me, it's restaurant reviews on Google Maps, lol. I can't explain why, but there's just something relaxing about it. For some reason, I have a particular fascination for reviews of various Olive Garden locations, despite having never been to an Olive Garden myself."

."Whenever I'm eating cheese and crackers, I try to eat it in a perfect ratio, so I end up with exactly one slice of cheese and one cracker left."

."I eat cereal with a fork because I don’t like soggy pieces."

."One I developed recently is talking about pro wrestling with my dog. While doing the dishes or whatever, I'll tell him about matches I've seen recently or how I hope Jay white returns soon. I didn't realize it until my wife started to poke fun at me for it."

."I always say goodbye to places I’ve stayed when I’m leaving and thank them for having taken such good care of me while I stayed there. When I leave my apartment to go on vacation or something, I say goodbye and explain that I will be back soon. Just in case it misses me and wonders where I am."

."Besides the stem, I eat the entire apple. I also eat strawberries with the leaves on. I had no idea it was weird until college and people's looks of absolute horror."

."I have to SEE what I'm eating. I can't eat any food in the dark. Especially with candy with certain colors, I have to know what color it is before I eat it, so I always eat in the light and look at what I'm eating."

."Whenever I want to remember something for a short period of time, I mimic the motion of writing it down on a notepad, so I am just scribbling my right index finger on my left palm."

."When I put on sports bras, I step into them and pull them up my torso and arms instead of putting my head and arms through. I never thought anything of it until my friends started asking me why I always put them on that way and saying how funny it was."
