Great British Bake Off legend gives birth to fifth child and shares unique name and first picture
Great British Bake Off star Cristy Sharp has welcomed her fifth child, a baby boy named Judah. Cristy, 34, who appeared on the 2023 series of the Channel 4 show and finished in fourth place, shared the joyful news on Instagram.
She posted an adorable picture of Judah, revealing he was born on 27 May. In her heartfelt caption, Cristy expressed her overwhelming love for her new son, stating: "My heart is so full with love for you that I could burst. You have completed the last piece of the puzzle & I will love you until the end of time."
Cristy already has four children with her husband, who remains off her social media. The sweet photo she posted showed Judah cosy in a white hat and babygrow.
Fellow Bake Off stars were quick to rush to the comments section to congratulate her. Dan Hunter wrote: "Oh Cristy Judah is absolutely beautiful! Many congratulations to you and your family from ours. I hope you are both doing well xxx."
Matty Edgell added: "Congratulations to you all Cristy! I hope you and baby are doing well!" Sakunthala Chandrasekara commented: "Baby Judah is absolutely gorgeous!! Congratulations Cristy!" while Dana Conway wrote: "What a little cutie! Can’t wait for my share of cuddles."
Cristy announced she was expecting again in February after sharing her blossoming bump in a black dress. She said at the time: "Bump update. Feeling extremely pregnant now & getting so excited at the thought of our new addition. Heartburn has well and truly kicked in. Every evening it’s One Born Every Minute & Emma Willis: Delivering Babies on repeat (much to my husband’s annoyance)."
While the star prefers to keep her family life off social media, she does occasionally share rare updates with her fans. Cristy lost her place on the Channel 4 baking show during Party Week when bakers were asked to create a classic celebration cake.
Despite earning the title of Star Baker in Week 5, the personal assistant from London was left devastated when she finished fourth. Bake Off's newest host, Alison Hammond, told Cristy the sad news as Judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith admitted it had been a tough call that nearly saw Dan sent home instead.
Upon receiving the news, Cristy said: "It's been such a crazy, fast-paced experience. Now I'm going to sit back and reflect on how far I've come. I'm so proud of myself for making it this far."
