Graham Norton pictured with rarely-seen husband on stroll in New York on post-Eurovision break

Graham Norton is taking a well-earned break after Eurovision with a holiday in New York - and the TV presenter has been spotted out with his rarely-seen husband Jonathan 'Jono' McLeod.

The pair married in 2022 after meeting six years prior, with the wedding taking place at Bantry House in Graham's native Cork, Ireland. Speaking on The Project, Graham explained that they married in Ireland to be closer to his 91-year-old mother Rhoda Walker.

"I got married this year and we had our wedding party near to where my mother lives in Ireland just so she could come," he said. "She wouldn’t have been well enough to come to London so West Cork it was. And it made me very happy."

The couple are currently visiting New York and were spotted stepping out in shirts, shorts and trainers around Manhattan's Upper East side. They then stopped for a soft drink outside a hotel bar to enjoy the sizzling temperature.

Jonathan is a Scottish filmmaker who's worked with Alan Cumming on the 2022 film My Old School. Over the years, Graham has mainly kept his relationship out of the limelight, however the pair were spotted last year walking their dog around the Hampstead area of north London.

Graham and Jono's wedding was attended by 120 of the couple's friends and family, with 60s legend Lulu reportedly performing at the ceremony and drag queen Panti Bliss on DJ duty.

Graham later told The Guardian about his big day, revealing: "I had a joke in my speech: the vows are much more manageable. 'Till death do us part' seems more achievable at our age.

"If you get married at 23, that's a big ask. We only have to put up with each other for a couple of decades. And then I'll be out of here," he laughed.

The presenter was recently back on narrating duty for the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo, Sweden - which was won by Switzerland's entry Nemo with the song 'The Code'. The UK was represented by Years and Year star Olly Alexander, who came in last place with zero points after performing his song Dizzy.

Meanwhile, Dutch entry Joost Klein was disqualified from the competition ahead of the final after a complaint was made against him by a "female member of the production crew", according to the European Broadcasting Union. “While the legal process takes its course, it would not be appropriate for him to continue in the Contest," The EBU said in a statement.
