Peter Andre tells fans 'God help us' as he shares family update
Peter Andre has shared a hilarious family update, quipping "God help us" to his legion of Instagram followers.
The pop icon, 51, is a doting dad to son Junior, 19, and daughter Princess, almost 17, from his previous marriage to Katie Price. He's also the proud father to Amelia, aged 10, and two-month-old Arabella, as well as seven year old Theo, whom he shares with his current wife, Emily MacDonagh.
In a recent chuckle-worthy video posted for his 1.9 million fans on Instagram, Peter can be seen in the car with Princess taking the driver's seat, while he sits nervously as her passenger, reports the Liverpool Echo.
With feigned terror, he screams for comic effect, as Princess gives an eye roll for the ages. The video's text overlay says: "POV: when your daughter's about to get her licence..." and Peter amusingly captioned it: "Anyone else got a 17 year old that's about to drive for the first time? God help us!"
Empathetic parents rushed to the comments to share their own nail-biting experiences. One person said: "Daughter passed yesterday ... scary times! ! ! ! ", Another person wrote: "I feel your pain! They don't know till they're parents themselves do they," while a third added: "Yep, my daughter is 17 on the 26th June - lessons booked, I'm warning the county to beware!!"
Peter's son Junior passed his test in November 2022. At the time Peter said he was "relieved" and that the first thing Junior did was to pick Princess, then 15, up from school.
The Mysterious Girl singer recently praised Princess as he showcased how much of a natural his daughter Princess is with her baby sister, Arabella. Baby Arabella was born on the 2nd April, his third child with wife Emily.
He posted a video of his 16-year-old daughter rocking her sister back and forth in her arms while the popular children’s show Cocomelon played on the TV screen mounted on the wall.
“Bista you’re so good with her, thank you darling,” the proud dad could be heard saying in the video which he captioned: “Sister goals.” Princess is often called by her nickname, Bista, which dates all the way back to when she was a baby herself.
Many fans expressed their confusion as to why Pete referred to his daughter this, which he cleared up in a tweet in 2012. “Ok bista is called bista because when J was younger he couldn't say sister only bista :),” he posted on X, which was formerly known as Twitter.
It’s clear Princess is in awe of her younger sister, as she recently gushed about the new addition to the family in an interview with OK!.
When asked what it was like having a new born in the house, the 16-year-old said: “Oh, gosh, I love it. You get so used to peace and quiet – but now there’s a baby in the house, it’s always occupied and it’s always busy and buzzing.”
