Easter eggs might be more tailored towards children, but we’ve never been ones to refuse some chocolate at this time of year.

And although we’ve been admiring the huge variety of eggs on sale this year, we’ve just discovered the “Easter egg for the adults” and now we know which one we want.

They’re made by The Treat Kitchen, a small confectionery business run by husband and wife Martin and Jess Barnett that sells a whole range of alcohol flavoured sweets and chocolates.

The company has released two “grown up” easter eggs – a gin and tonic flavoured one and a strawberry and prosecco one.

The hand-crafted eggs are described online as “The perfect easter egg for any gin connoisseur.”

Both eggs are made from white chocolate and cost £9.95 each.

They’re made by infusing white chocolate with gin flavouring and lime tonic, which might not do the trick of making your Easter family get-together more bearable, but will still remind you of your favourite drink.

The eggs can be bought alone or in a larger pack for £10 more, which comes with hard-boiled sweets in the same alcoholic flavour.

Why not pair it with an actual G&T for the ultimate pre-Easter snack?
