World's smallest gin bar unveiled - in the back of a London black cab
We all love a pop-up bar, but the world’s smallest gin bar is taking it to a whole other level.
When you’re hopping from place to place this Christmas, you can now do so with a gin in hand (which, let’s face it, is an optimal way to travel) in the back of this London taxi.
Schweppes, the brand behind this frankly brilliant invention, has decorated the taxi to resemble a fancy Christmas gin bar with garlands a-plenty, fairy lights and plush leather seating.
It’s certainly a step up from our usual commutes.

The taxi, which even has timber flooring in the style of an alpine ski resort, comes with its own travelling mixologist and private driver.
If that’s not fancy enough for you, lucky commuters will enjoy a festive cocktail or mocktail, which includes Edinburgh Gin, for a unique blend of seasonal botanicals including frankincense and myrrh (aka, the taste of Christmas), mixed with Schweppes Premium Crisp Tonic Water.
Where do we sign up?
Well, on the subject of signing up, it’s a pretty sought after experience, given that it’s available for one day only.
Oh, and that day is tomorrow - Friday 13 December. We can’t think of a better time to have a gin and tonic than general election results day.

Given that you get driven around London (zone 1 only) and get a drink en route, we’re surprised that the whole experience is absolutely free.
It’ll certainly beat watching full tube trains leave one after the other as per our usual commutes.
When you get one of the golden tickets, you can pick a lucky friend to take the journey with you. Form an orderly queue, ladies and gentleman.
You’ll also have to pick which type of cocktail or mocktail you fancy.
A Schweppes Sleigh Ride - Edinburgh Christmas Gin mixed with Schweppes Premium Crisp Tonic Water and garnished with a cinnamon stick and orange peel twist. Or, a Schweppes Santa's Helper - Cedars Non-ABV Gin mixed with Schweppes Premium Crisp Tonic Water and garnished with a lime wedge.

In order to get involved, you have to be 18 and over and hold a valid ID. The experience is available to pre-book, although it’s currently sold out on Eventbrite.
It’s certainly worth checking back in case anybody drops out.
Tomorrow is known as “frantic Friday” - one of the busiest days for people, and one of the busiest days on the roads.
If you manage to nab one of the sought after tickets, you won’t mind being stuck in standstill traffic on Oxford Street.
All the reason to grab another gin and tonic. Cheers.
