Lindsay Lohan's Netflix Christmas movie Falling For Christmas has an official release date – and there's not long to wait.

The heiress then finds herself in the care of Overstreet's lodge owner and his daughter in the days leading up to Christmas. The movie is directed by Janeen Damian, who has a few Christmas movies under her belt, and co-written by Jeff Bonnett and Ron Oliver.

Falling for Christmas will also star Lohan's younger sister Aliana, who will contribute two songs to the movie.

This is Lindsay Lohan's first movie since 2019's supernatural horror Among the Shadows. Lohan will also star in Netflix's upcoming fantasy film Irish Wish, which follows Lohan as a woman who wishes for true love after her best friend becomes engaged to the love of her life.

Lohan previously established herself as one of the most talented child actresses around, starring in movies such as The Parent Trap. She went on to become a successful teen and adult actor in films such as Freaky Friday and Mean Girls. A series of personal issues plagued her career in the 2000s, but she is now making something of a comeback.

Meanwhile, Netflix is continuing its involvement with holiday movies with Falling for Christmas. This is a genre the streaming giant has found a lot of success with – The Christmas Chronicles, Klaus, Single All the Way, and The Princess Switch have all proved hugely popular with audiences. Klaus even earned an Academy Award nomination for best animated feature in 2020.

Falling for Christmas will be released on Netflix on November 10.
