Elizabeth Hurley shares clothes with son Damian
Elizabeth Hurley shares clothes with her son Damian.
The actress raised Damian, 21, mostly as a single mum and the model/filmmaker has now revealed the pair are so close they even borrow pieces from each other's wardrobes - confessing he often pinches her leather trousers while she borrows his blazers.
Damian told The Sunday Times: "I steal leather trousers all the time. Jackets are always great. Any big over-sized blazers she steals in a heart beat."
He added of their close relationship: "We're like siblings. I think when it's just the two of you, any farce of: 'I'm the parent, you're the child, I''m going to tell you off' goes out the window. You start seeing each other as real humans way sooner than when there are two parents, two kids, and you're separated from the adults."
Damian went on to talk about his mother's iconic Versace safety-pin dress which she wore on a red carpet back in 1994 when she attended the premiere of 'Four Weddings and a Funeral' with her then boyfriend Hugh Grant.
He said: "It put Versace on the map, it transformed my mother's life overnight, and it really changed the entire concept of celebrity, the entire concept of red carpet moments."
Damian previously cited supermodels Naomi Campbell and Helena Christensen as his inspiration when he started out in front of the camera. He told Vogue: "Naomi Campbell is a force of nature, I worship her. She went out of her way to look out for me when we worked together last year and I’m always blown away by her professionalism.
"Helena Christensen is the sexiest woman on the planet."
He added of his own style: "Both my mother and I are incredibly scruffy by nature. The second we’re not being photographed, we revert to slobbery with alarming ease."
