This Morning viewers share same complaint minutes into live ITV show
This Morning viewers have been doing some detective work and they think they've sussed that all isn't as it would appear with the latest installment - with many viewers left fuming just minutes into the show.
Fans who tuned in on (December 30) were left disheartened after they were greeted by hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, with the presenting duo being a key clue that all might not be as it seemed.
Over on the online platform X - formerly Twitter - fans recalled Alison announcing earlier in the month that she wouldn't be back on screens until January - this due to her Birmingham pantomime commitments.
Eagle-eyed viewers were not convinced that the show was live and instead fumed just minutes after the episode kicked-off that it was pre-recorded version - something ITV have not confirmed either way.
Angry folk took to their keyboards to pen their dismay, adding: "This feels prerecorded still #thismorning." A second agreed: "#thismorning Right definitely pre recorded."

Others pointed out: "Alison is doing panto today at 14:30... in Birmingham. Are we led to believe that she will make it from this live show London in time? #ThisMorning."
As another stated: "Yeah this is deffo prerecorded bet their not back till the new year now why don't they just take it off till it’s back live #thismorning." A fourth moaned: "Just have a day off This Morning."
Elsewhere people were complaining that the episode was plagued with old interviews from the archives, including a chat with Jon Bon Jovi and Shania Twain. Someone wrote: "We're now being shown a pre-recording of a pre-recording... #ThisMorning.
A second viewer also shared the same sentiment, adding: "Not more past interviews, we didn't enjoy them then and we're still not enjoying them now, sort it out #thismorning."
However, Alison seemingly confirmed that the programme was actually live. Turning to her co-host Dermot she told him she would be in the panto later on in the day.
She explained that she'd be back on stage at Birmingham Hippodrome "this afternoon and this evening" after filming of the latest instalment of This Morning finished.
The confusion amongst fans could have been caused after Alison announced it was her last day on This Morning a few weeks ago, explaining she'd be back in January - leaving fans upset. The Birmingham TV star confirmed she would be out of action for a while as she was taking a brief hiatus to work on other projects.
Alison has been playing The Magical Mermaid in Peter Pan at the Birmingham Hippodrome, with the production having started on December 21, 2024 and not due to finish until February 2, 2025.
The Big Brother star is no novice when it comes to panto, as the Great British Bake Off host also took part last year in the Birmingham Hippodrome's Jack and the Beanstalk, playing the spirit of the bean.
Confirming plans to not be back on ITV until the 2024 was wrapped up, Alison told viewers: "See you in January. Happy Christmas."
This Morning airs weekdays on ITV1, from 10am
