EastEnders enthusiasts are convinced the show 'confirmed' Mick Carter's dramatic return. Danny Dyer, who brought former The Vic landlord Mick to life in Walford back in 2013, quickly captured the hearts of the audience. Although no body was ever recovered, Mick's presumed demise left his ex-wife Linda shattered. Now, with Father's Day on the horizon, Linda's grief has deepened, leading her back to drinking. In the episode aired on Monday 10 June, she shared with her mother Elaine and son Johnny a "vivid" dream about Mick that felt "so real." involving a serene moment together by a pond, sharing chips, reports the Daily Star.
This poignant scene has fans convinced that EastEnders is hinting at Mick's return, particularly with Father's Day approaching, suggesting there might be a surprising twist ahead. One viewer speculated alongside a clip of Linda's heartfelt recollection about Mick, saying: "All seems a bit like a foreshadow...." Another chimed in: "Linda is having dreams of mick. I'm convinced one day he will return."
EastEnders fan are also drawing parallels to Roxy Mitchell's posthumous appearance. Remembering how Roxy, despite being written out in 2017, reappeared as a vision to her daughter Amy during therapy, one fan suggested on social media: "We need her to see Mick like Amy saw Roxy cause Linda needs that more than ever."
