Buckingham Palace has confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will join Beyoncé and Jay-Z at the UK premiere of ‘The Lion King’ on Sunday (June 14).

According to royal reporter Omid Scobie, the new parents will enjoy a night off at the Odeon in Leicester Square - a public engagement sure to please royal fans across the globe.

The silver screen remake will directly correlate with the Duke of Sussex’s lifelong commitment to animal conservation, as the premiere will be held “in support of the conservation and communities work of His Royal Highness through The Royal Foundation”, a Kensington Palace spokesperson revealed.

For instance, Walt Disney recently announced #ProtectThePrice - a campaign designed to protect the lion population across Africa.

But all eyes will be on the red carpet, as the Duchess of Sussex and Beyoncé - who voices lioness Nala in the silver screen remake - are both set to appear.

Although it’s not certain whether or not the duo have ever met - the pair might know one another through Serena Williams, who made a cameo in Beyoncé’s music video for ‘Sorry’ - , the songstress has previously showcased her love for Meghan.
