Dr. Martens and Stüssy Bring Back The 2295 Boot Dr. Martens x Stussy

Need a new boot to stride into 2025? Dr. Martens and Stüssy have got your feet covered with their latest collaboration.

Over the years, we’ve seen the British and American brands combine their respective expertise to give iconic Dr. Martens silhouettes a streetwear makeover, mixing fashion kudos with practical footwear construction.

In 2016, the duo released a Cheetah print ‘Creeper’, then the 8053 HY launched just in time for the Christmas of 2019 – igniting the hiking boot trend we saw dominate lockdown periods – and in 2021, the pair designed a six-eye lace boot that was originally inspired by sixties DM work boots.

To round off 2024, Dr. Martens and Stüssy offer two new editions of the 2295 boot, a silhouette from the archives that’s packed with American blue-collar utilitarianism.

The Wollaston-born brand discontinued the style a few years back, much to the dismay of it’s wearers in the workforce. It was a part of its Industrial line, and its original e-comm page proves how beloved it was for its practicality and comfort – one Reddit user’s ode to the design may have caught the eyes of Dr. Martens HQ.

In keeping with the design’s workwear heritage, the two rigger-style boots feature a steel toe cap and pull-on tabs, both embossed with a unique Stüssy ‘Workgear’ patch. Atop an outsole with Dr. Martens’ signature yellow welt stitching, uppers come in black Wanama leather or textured suede.

We expect this silhouette to be doing the rounds next year; after years of loafers and slim sneakers, it’s about time a boot came back into fashion. And if you do have to do some heavy lifting before taking an Instagram ‘fit pic, you know which style will step up to the job.
