Dove Cameron nails the mesh fashion trend with a fire see-through 'fit
While mesh tops have been around for what seems to be yonks (read: they burst onto the fashion scene in the 80s), over the last few years, they've had a resurgence – and we can thank the nearly naked trend for that. As time goes on, celebrity style just continues to get more and more naked – a nipple here, a side boob there – and as with any hype, we're not nearly short of inspiration. That said, one person who just nailed the assignment with what is probably my favourite 'kinda but not really naked' fashion look to date is Gen Z sweetheart, Dove Cameron.
In her two most recent Instagram posts shared just a few hours ago [February 7], Dove has gone braless, donning a skin-like mesh number complete with white floral embellishments. The actor paired the daring top with a plaid tiered midi skirt and trainers.
As shared in one of the captions of said posts, Dove wore this look to celebrate the Collina Strada Fall 2025 fashion collection. "love filled night @collinastrada thank you for making me feel like myself !! ps don’t throw away broken tech if u can wear it !! 💿🫶🏻📟🪽💞👽🪡🎧," she wrote.
But it wasn't a one-and-done kinda look – instead, Dove had an entire glam squad on hand who went above and beyond to create this fire ensemble. Makeup artist Kale Teter created the full face beat, hairstylist Jacob Rozenberg put together a sleek space bun 'do and of course, the outfit was head-to-toe Collina Strada.
Oh, and can we also just take a mo' to acknowledge the earphone hair ties? The attention to detail is ~genius~.
That, my friends, is how to nail the mesh fashion trend entirely. Mic = drop.
