The Beauty Sandwich Kicks Off New York Residency

The Beauty Sandwich has found a new home in New York.

The celebrity facialist, also known as Iván Pol, who debuted a line of skin care products by the same name as his proprietary method, is setting up shop in the Mandarin Oriental Residences, Fifth Avenue.

As part of the residency, building inhabitants will have access to Pol for treatments either in their homes or in the building’s spa, and he will also be offering appointments with his existing clientele.

Pol, who counts Salma Hayek Pinault, Emma Stone, Kim Kardashian and Ana de Armas as devotees, developed his non-invasive radiofrequency treatments for both instant and long-lasting results.

“At Mandarin Oriental Residences, Fifth Avenue, we’ve redefined what it means to live luxuriously,” said in a statement from Michael Shvo, founder and chairman of Shvo, which counts the property in its portfolio and has tapped Daniel Boulud for the building’s private restaurant. “This exceptional partnership with Iván Pol, one of the world’s most sought-after beauty pioneers, further elevates our vision.”

In the statement, Pol called Shvo a “visionary who sees far beyond what’s imaginable in luxury real estate and consistently develops new standards of excellence with every project. I’m honored to have the opportunity to work in this exceptional space.”

Pol started his career in beauty as a makeup artist in New York, when he opened Madina Milano’s counter at Bergdorf Goodman two decades ago — a stone’s throw away from the residences at 685 Fifth Avenue — before honing his craft with a cosmetic dermatologist in Miami. He relocated to Los Angeles six years ago.

“I put all my love, passion and time in this treatment for 11 years. I put in the work, tested on every skin type,” Pol told WWD in January. “Results had to be instant. They needed to marry my two worlds where I was a makeup artist, and the treatments I was then doing in the dermatology practice because they all worked. To us, The Beauty Sandwich is artistry, technology and science.”
