How to detox your skin like a royal after Christmas, inspired by Kate Middleton's diet favourites
It wouldn't be Christmas without never-ending tubs of chocolates, heaving cheeseboards and Buck's Fizz for breakfast, right? But this indulgent diet – combined with the cold weather, biting winds and drying central heating – can play havoc with your skin over the festive season, leaving it looking and feeling dry, dehydrated and dull.
Two famous faces whose skin always looks flawless, however, are the Princess of Wales and the Duchess of Sussex – and the clue might be in their diets.
The skin experts at Sozo Aesthetic Clinic have revealed the top skin-boosting superfoods to add back into your diet now that Christmas is over – and they include some of the royals' favourites snacks.

Here's what to eat to get your skin glowing again...
Oily fish
Oily fish such as mackerel, salmon and tuna are high in omega-3 fatty acids, which and known for their anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and collagen-boosting benefits to the skin.
Kate Middleton and Prince William are known to be fans of sushi, while it has been reported that Victoria Beckham eats salmon every day on the advice of her dermatologist.
Nuts
Meghan Markle once revealed that almonds were her snack of choice when filming Suits, and it's no wonder that her skin always looks so radiant.
Nuts are rich in vitamins and minerals such as selenium, vitamin E and zinc, which have antioxidant properties and help to combat inflammation in the skin.
Green juice
Popular with celebrities and health fanatics, green juice is made from blending up green fruits and vegetables like spinach, apple, celery and cucumber, and sometimes adding extra superfoods such as coconut water, almond milk or spirulina.
This makes it a super-healthy drink for breakfast - or at any time of the day - as its packed full of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants from the fruit and veg.
Ginger
Ginger is not only great for boosting the immune system and warding away winter colds, but its anti-inflammatory properties may also help to calm skin conditions like eczema and rosacea.
Add it to stir fries, curries and soups, or make it into a tea by infusing it in hot water.
Carrots
Carrots are high in vitamin A, which help to encourage skin cell turnover (retinol is also a topical form of vitamin A).
Roast them, pop them in the air fryer or turn them into the TikTok-viral raw carrot salad.
Best anti-ageing foods to eat
Your diet won't turn back the clock, but it can play a part in slowing down the skin ageing process. Eating plenty of healthy fats, protein and antioxidant-rich foods is essential for overall skin health, with leafy greens, turmeric and berries particularly high in antioxidants.
What foods to avoid if you suffer with acne
Spots and acne can be caused by a number of factors, but eating certain foods can make breakouts flare up, say the experts at Sozo Aesthetic Clinic. If you're regularly plagued by pimples, try reducing your intake of dairy, sugar, fast food and refined carbohydrates to see if it helps.
