Victoria Beckham cracks rare and infectious smile in photo to mark 23rd wedding anniversary
Today, one of the world’s most famous celebrity couples, David and Victoria Beckham, are celebrating their 23rd wedding anniversary.
The former Spice Girl and legendary football player first stole the nation’s hearts when they declared their love for one and another outside of a hotel in Crewe back in 1998.
A year later, they were married in a spectacularly Nineties-style wedding, with matching purple outfits and a giant sword to cut the cake.
Fast forward to 2022, and the couple have added to their brood of Beckhams with four children together – Brooklyn, 23, Romeo, 19, Cruz, 17, and Harper, 10 – plus grown a successful fashion business and have two OBEs thrown into the mix, further cementing their status as the celebrity circuit’s reigning duo.

To celebrate their 23rd wedding anniversary, Victoria Beckham took to Instagram to share her love for her husband David, and put to bed a few rumours from over the years with a tongue-in-cheek message.
"They say he isn't funny, they say I never smile, they said it wouldn't last," she captioned the image of her and David laughing together at an event.
"Today we celebrate 23 years being married," she added. "David you are my everything, I love you so much!!!!"

Victoria, 48, also went on to share a series of images of her and David throughout their marriage on her Stories, from when they first met to now.
“@davidbeckham you are my everything! I love you so much,” she gushed.
David, 47, also took to his social media to share an anniversary message to his wife. The former England star posted a throwback clip of the couple appearing in a Comic Relief sketch hosted by Ali G in 2001.

The satirical comedian asked David whether he was into the Spice Girls, and he replied coyly: “No, but I was into Posh.”
No but I was into Posh,” he captioned the image. “23 years ago today Posh became Mrs Beckham, but she will always be Posh.”
“Happy Anniversary WOW 23 years & 4 beautiful kiddies,” he added. “I love you, we all love you.”

Almost a year after meeting at a charity football match, David and Victoria Beckham announce their engagement on January 25, 1998.
In celebration, the soon-to-be newlyweds posed for a photo call outside of their hotel in Crewe. Victoria Beckham famously told British Vogue that it was “love at first sight” when she caught eyes with future husband, David.
March 1999
Just months before they tied the knot, the couple welcomed their first son, Brooklyn Joseph Beckham.

In one of the most famous A-list weddings of all time, David and Victoria Beckham said “I do” at Luttrellstown Castle just outside of Dublin on July 4, 1999.

For the history-making ceremony, the former Spice Girl chose a Vera Wang gown and secured the couple’s title as the King of Queen of the celebrity world with a gold crown by jeweller Slim Barrett.
September 2002
The A-list couple welcomed their second son, Romeo James Beckham, on September 1, 2002.
November 2003
The Beckham clan relocated to Spain in 2003 after David signed for Real Madrid.
But the couple made sure to return to London briefly when the footballer player was honoured with an OBE.
February 2005
David Beckham bagged himself a new football fan when the couple welcomed their third child, Cruz Beckham, on February 20, 2005.

After seven years stateside, the family moved back to the UK when David announced his retirement from playing professional football.
January 2017
David revealed that the couple had renewed their vows in a private ceremony. During an interview on BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs, he shared that the couple has renewed their vows since their 1999 wedding but didn't reveal when or where.
"We have renewed our vows since [our first wedding]," he told host Kirsty Young. "It was a lot more private with only six people there in our house."
May 2018
Adding another royal wedding to their name, David and Victoria Beckham also bagged a golden invitation to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s star-studded nuptials on May 19, 2018.
