David Beckham's Footballer to Beekeeper Trajectory Is Iconic
If you've ever wondered what the life of a mega-star professional footballer looks like after the retire from the beautiful game, it's this: zipping up your beekeeper suit in your immaculate country kitchen and heading out to tend to the hives.
Well, at least it seems like that's what David Beckham is doing these days anyway.
Apparently he fell in love with beekeeping over lockdown (it made us all do strange things, don't worry DB) and has kept up the hobby since.
David's honey is called "DBee'z Sticky Stuff" and he's even been making personalised labels for it and everything. Cute.
Recently, the former footballer was caught by wife Victoria Beckham making a honey sponge cake from his, urm, "Sticky Stuff." It actually looked pretty delicious and had a lovely icing glaze, so we're going to need him to fdrop the DB's Sticky Stuff Cake recipe ASAP.
She went on to say that they'd produced around 200 jars of honey from a beehive in their back garden (although we suspect the Beckhams' back garden isn't quite the same as the usual...).
Honestly we're seeing a whole Sticky Stuff franchise here: recipe books, a full honey range, maybe even some ready-to-buy Beckham-made baked goods?
We'll keep our eyes peeled for any news, but for now it's just lovely to see David get back to nature and give us wholesome vibes for our daily Instagram scroll.
