Dani Dyer 'fears everything's about to change' after Jarrod Bowen's Euro success

Dani Dyer has solidified her WAG status this week as she spends time in Germany supporting her boyfriend Jarrod Bowen while he plays for England in the EUFA European Championship. And while the Love Island star, 27, couldn’t be more proud of her beau, a source has claimed that she is worried everything could change, following his Euro success.

“Dani is the proudest woman in the country right now after Jarrod has become part of the England squad and she knows this is just the beginning for him. She knows how hard he has worked to get here and now he’s in the squad, he wants to be a permanent fixture,” the source explained.

However, sharing that working his way up could come with sacrifice, they added, “But she also knows that he’s going to get more attention from other clubs and he may have to leave West Ham if he really wants to make it.”

Born and bred in East London to soap legend Danny Dyer, it seemed a match made in heaven when Dani met West Ham United forward Jarrod, also 27, in 2021. Now, the pair reside together in their Essex home with twin daughters; Summer and Star, one, and Dani’s son Santi, three, from her previous relationship with Sammy Kimmence.

Famously close to her dad, and mum Joanne Mas, Dani previously spoke of how helpful her parents have been since she became a mum herself. She said, “The way they’ve been there for me is honestly, just such a dream. “There have been some long nights if Santi’s not been well, where I really struggled and I’ve just needed to have a chat or a sleep in the afternoon. And they’ve been there for me. Knowing I've got them, I am blessed with that.”

She added: “If my mum doesn't see me for a few days, I genuinely really miss her." Dani even moved back in with her parents while she and Jarrod were moving house last year and is often seen enjoying family get-togethers, showing the tight-knit bond.

Appearing to have slotted into the family dynamics perfectly, Jarrod has struck up a strong friendship with his girlfriend’s dad, who is an avid West Ham fan. But with the life of a footballer ever changing, our source maintains that the thought of moving for Jarrod’s job is a tough pill to swallow.

“Dani’s biggest fear is that he will be signed up for a club abroad with an offer he can’t refuse as there has been some interest already, which would mean turning their whole lives upside down,” they explained.

They continued: “She’s unsure if she would be able to leave her family and her support network but she couldn’t stand in his way and that’s the life of a professional footballer. Also her dad would be devastated if he left his beloved West Ham but Jarrod’s career is only short and he wants to be the best.”

She wouldn’t be the first WAG to struggle with the constant change footballers go through, with stars such as Victoria Beckham, Coleen Rooney and Abbey Clancy all having opened up about the struggles of moving their lives.

Dani and Jarrod are clearly smitten with one another and have been focusing on the switch to parenting together in the last year since welcoming the twins, often sharing sweet updates on social media.

But aside from Dani’s fears of having to potentially uproot, she is also said to be haunted by the most infamous curse associated with footballers - the flock of female attention.

Explaining that this will undoubtedly be heightened following Jarrod’s time on England’s side in the Euros, the source claims: “Now she’s a fully fledged member of the England WAG squad she knows the pitfalls that it can bring. She’s seen what has happened to some of the strongest relationships in football and although she and Jarrod are very strong, she knows that after this summer everything is going to change and not just football-wise.

“Jarrod is going to be more in demand and busier than ever and sadly she’s aware that he’ll get more and more female attention – some women don’t seem to care about wives, girlfriends and kids when they see a footballer out and about. And Jarrod is so down to earth and friendly that she’s scared he’ll be taken advantage of.”

Despite the trust being there, the source claims that added attention will never be easy to navigate. They said: "Obviously she trusts him 100 per cent but their relationship has been quite low-key until now but because of her career and his ongoing success, he is now one of the most recognisable players in the country and that brings added pressure and attention.”

While a big change, Dani will no doubt be by her boyfriend’s side throughout his career step-up and was ever the proud partner in the stands during his first game last week, which saw England reign victorious over Serbia.

As Jarrod continues to represent his country, the source assures that Dani is in full support. “Jarrod has so far been the best partner, dad and stepdad and she is just so proud and excited that he is living his dream and wants to support him every step of the way.”

Good luck, Jarrod!
