Modeling runs in the family for Cindy Crawford and her husband, Rande Gerber.

The couple, who married in May 1998, share two children: son Presley Gerber and daughter Kaia Gerber. Now adults, both Presley and Kaia have followed in their mother's footsteps and pursued careers as models.

However, when Presley and Kaia were young, Crawford focused on raising her children to be open-minded. “In my kids, I see acceptance. Kids are not born seeing otherness. They’re born open,” she wrote in a 2015 piece for TIME. “The rest gets trained into us by watching the news, our own parents and how people react. And all of that is rooted in insecurity. As a parent, I try to lead by example and instill in my children self-confidence while showing my own vulnerability.”

She doubled down on her values as a parent while speaking to PEOPLE in 2023, saying that she never sent Presley and Kaia to the "kids table" at events when they were younger. "I think because of that, they're very comfortable in most life situations," she added.

Still, the supermodel admitted she was the “bad cop” while Gerber was the “good cop” when it came to parenting. "Yeah, I'm the bad cop," she told CBS News in 2012. "Absolutely. Yes, our kids would probably not go to school, we'd not have a bedtime. Yeah, I'm definitely the bad cop. But he will, you know what, when I need his support and I need him to step up and back me up on something, he definitely will."

Here’s everything to know about Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber’s two kids, Presley and Kaia Gerber.

Presley Walker Gerber, 24

Crawford and Gerber's first child, son Presley Walker Gerber, was born on July 2, 1999.

Presley is a model who has worked for Dolce & Gabbana, Moschino, Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein. He is also passionate about raising awareness for mental health and opened up about his own mental health journey during a 2023 interview on the podcast Studio 22.

"Having struggled with mental health, depression and some other things that come along with that, I think that whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that's all I need to do," Presley told hosts Brock O'Hurn and Will Meldman.

He added: "[Mental health] is an issue. It is such a big part of my life. It's a 24/7 job, and there's so much to it. That's really what I want to do: help people, whether you're depressed, you're struggling with something that is having a negative effect on your body. I mean it could be anything, and there's no judgment."

Presley started a series called Mental Health Mondays on his Instagram, where he has documented and shared his experience maintaining his mental health.

He is also a big fan of tattoos: He has barbed wire on his hand and a gun on his hip bone. He previously had a face tattoo that said “MISUNDERSTOOD,” which he has since removed. He and Kaia share tattoos of each other’s names: Presley’s says "Kaia XXIII" on his arm, while Kaia has “Prez” on her shoulder. The siblings also got tattoos together in January 2020.

Presley and Kaia are very close and often work together. "We're a close family, especially me and my sister, so it's definitely cool," he told PEOPLE. "We get to travel together half of the time, so it makes it a lot less lonely."

He has also worked with his famous mom. In 2018, he starred in a re-creation of Crawford's iconic Pepsi ad from the Super Bowl in 1992.

“We drove to work together, we shared a trailer, and just as a mom watching him perform, I was the proud stage mom standing by the monitor,” Crawford shared.

Presley has joined his mom in giving back to the community by volunteering at hospitals together over the years. "We've done events here with Children's Hospital L.A. and Leukemia Society of America. And my friend Andrea Jaeger has Little Star Foundation, which is for kids with cancer," Crawford told PEOPLE in 2023. "So my kids have always accompanied me on those. And what's really cool is when you see they're doing it on their own when I'm not taking them with me. I instilled that."

When he is not modeling or volunteering, Presley maintains an active lifestyle and enjoys surfing, playing basketball, biking with his dad, snowboarding and more.

Kaia Jordan Gerber, 22

Crawford and Gerber's second child, Kaia Jordan Gerber, was born on Sept. 3, 2001.

Kaia started a career in modeling at age 10, when she posed for Versace's Young Versace division. Four years later, she landed her first fashion campaign with Chrome Hearts and her first Vogue cover. Since then, she's walked on high-fashion runways and worked with Omega, YSL Beauty and Marc Jacobs Fragrances.

In 2023, Crawford opened up about how Kaia has managed fame in the age of social media. "I'm learning along with her about that stuff, but I feel like she seems like she has a very good head on her shoulders and is figuring out how she wants to create that private work-public balance,” she told PEOPLE.

In January 2023, Kaia spoke about her mom’s success and her “nepo baby” status in an interview with Elle. "I won't deny the privilege that I have," she told the magazine. "Even if it's just the fact that I have a really great source of information and someone to give me great advice, that alone I feel very fortunate for."

During an April 2024 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Kaia shared how her mom helped prepare her for her first runway show.

"I remember right before I was going to do my first-ever fashion show, she sat me down and had my whole family gather around and played me compilation videos of models falling,” she said. “I think to be like, ‘This is the worst case scenario.’ And I was like, ‘I didn’t even know you could fall this many different ways.’ ”

Kaia also loves working with her brother, Presley.

“I love working with him and every time we book a job together I get excited,” she previously told PEOPLE. “At first when we were starting out, we used to shoot a lot together and we would just be there for each other, which is important, especially just starting in such a scary industry — to have someone there that you’re comfortable with.”

Kaia has also begun acting, starring in American Horror Story: Double Feature and its spinoff, American Horror Stories. She’s also appeared in the short film The Palisades (2022) and the feature film Bottoms (2023). In May 2023, Deadline reported that Kaia would appear in the film Shell alongside Elisabeth Moss and Kate Hudson.

Crawford, who has also dabbled in film and TV, shared that she was “proud” of Kaia for pursuing acting. "There were certainly things like even in high school I sort of wanted to go out for, [like] the school play. None of my friends were and I didn't know if I'd be good at it, so I didn't do it," she said on an episode of Ellen Pompeo's podcast Tell Me with Ellen Pompeo. “Whereas [Kaia] did all that in elementary school and middle school and high school.”

Since 2021, Kaia has been in a relationship with Elvis star Austin Butler. They have appeared on many red carpets together and even went on a double date with Kaia's parents. She previously dated actor Jacob Elordi and comedian Pete Davidson.

And like her big brother, Kaia is passionate about volunteering with kids and inspired Butler to join.

"I know Kaia had done stuff for Children's Hospital L.A. before, I'm not sure if Austin had done something like that before," Crawford told PEOPLE in 2023. "I think that the way I heard the story is she invited him and he was so moved, as I'm sure you can imagine ... you get more out of it than the kids."
