Christine McGuinness has paid tribute to her ex husband Paddy McGuinness this Father’s Day, two years after the pair announced their split.

The pair, who share 10 year old twins Leo and Penelope and seven year old Felicity together, revealed in 2022 that they’d called time on their relationship after 11 years of marriage. However, the former couple have maintained a harmonious relationship, with Paddy recently explaining that their split would not be apparent to outsiders.

And now, to mark Father’s Day, mum-of-three Christine has shown her support for 50 year old Paddy in a sweet post on behalf of her and their three children.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, 16 June to celebrate the occasion, the Take Me Out presenter shared a heartwarming picture in honour of his fellow dads which read: “Father A Son’s first Hero. A Daughter’s first Love,” alongside an outline of a man holding a baby.

In addition to the sweet snap, the TV personality posted an emotional caption that touched on various aspects of fatherhood, from those who are no longer with us to those who have entered a step parenting role.

“To all those Dads who put themselves last. The good Dads and stepdads here and those who have passed away.

“The working Dads, the tired Dads and the stressed Dads… it’s all worth it. For when you get those wonderful hugs, hear that gorgeous laughter and receive the unconditional love from your children, that really is the best,” Paddy wrote. He added: “PS lest we not forget the new socks and 'world’s best Dad' mugs. Gentlemen, happy Father’s Day.”

In response to the post, Christine, 36, showed her support for Paddy as she commented: “Happy Daddy’s Day from our three little loves.”

Meanwhile on her own Instagram page, mum-of-three Christine paid tribute to her beloved father Johnny in a sweet Instagram Story before taking to her main grid to give some advice when it came to making the most out of life.

In a carousel post, the model shared a black and white quote all about finding love. “Never go in search of love, go in search of life, and life will find you the love you seek,” it read.

The Real Housewives of Cheshire star’s comment comes after she opened up about her “depressing” sex life since parting ways with Paddy, admitting that she isn't in a hurry to find someone new.

“It's just where I am at in my life right now: I want to focus on me. I'm also quite realistic about what I can and can't do. I don't want to put myself in a position where I'm spending time with someone and it may develop into a relationship and I'm not quite ready for that,” she said.
