Christine McGuinness' heartbreaking Christmas admission over divorce from ex Paddy
Nobody could argue that model and TV personality Christine McGuinness is living her best life. She looks fantastic right now, has an enviably busy social life as she poses up a storm at various showbiz events, is a devoted mum to her three children and is really enjoying getting out there on the dating scene, as she tells OK!.
The 36 year old is clearly moving on in life following her divorce from comedian Paddy McGuinness, who she split from two years ago - though the couple still live together and co-parent their three children, twins Leo and Penelope, 10, and seven-year-old Felicity, in their Cheshire home. But she confesses it truly pains her to think about is what will happen during important family times like Christmas, once the former couple do eventually move into two separate houses.
As she opens up about her love of Strictly in or exclusive chat, Christine admits there have been 'conversations' about her doing the hit BBC show - but she feels she's not ready and it needs to be 'the right time for her. She tells OK!: "The last couple of years have been extremely challenging – it’s been difficult, no matter how amicable things are.:

She adds: "It’s difficult going through a divorce and knowing that one day you’re possibly going to have separate Christmases and houses. All of that is extremely heartbreaking, I think, for any family. It wouldn’t have been the right time for me to go off and do such a big TV show. But in the future, who knows? I love watching it. I think anything where you are learning a [new] skill is totally worthwhile."
In September, it was reported that Christine and Paddy reportedly avoided a lengthy court battle over their divorce. And Christine is evidently enjoying dating again. As she reveals: "I only started dating this year and I think I delayed and delayed it, because of the worries. Not just because of how I am, and my sensory issues, but I wasn’t in any rush at all. And then it just kind of happened – I met somebody on my birthday, and we started dating."
Speaking previously to OK!, Christine described the co-parenting journey as “hard”, and admitted it will get worse “when the time comes that we do actually have to share our children in separate houses. I think I’m going to really struggle with that.”
She went on to explain that she likes to go on holiday when Paddy is home - commenting “he’s not at home an awful lot” -as she is “kind of preparing myself and them” for a time when they won’t all be able to live in the same house.
