Christina Perri expecting rainbow baby after pregnancy losses

Christina Perri is expecting a rainbow baby after experiencing two devastating pregnancy losses in recent years.

The Jar of Hearts singer took to Instagram on Monday to announce that she and her husband Paul Costabile are gearing up to welcome a sibling for their daughter Carmella.

Christina posted a video showing the four-year-old opening a box decorated with a pink balloon that contained a sonogram.

"It's in my belly!" she told her daughter in the sweet clip.

"Rosie sent Carmella a little sister and we're very excited," the star wrote in the caption. "We've been having all the feelings, but mostly trying every day to choose joy."

In January 2020, Christina revealed she had suffered a miscarriage at 11 weeks.

And in November 2021, the 35-year-old announced that her daughter Rosie was stillborn days after suffering pregnancy complications.

A rainbow baby refers to a healthy infant born after losing a baby due to miscarriage, stillbirth, or neonatal death.

Christina and Paul wed in 2017.
