After months of buildup, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky announced that their son's name is Rza. Fans praised the name, and fans were also confused by the name. It turns out celebrities aren't opposed to naming their children after famous faces either, as Rza is an ode to the Wu-Tang Clan member of the same name.
Jessie J recently took to Instagram to introduce the world to her son, Sky Safir Cornish Coleman. A lovely little bit of alliteration there. The Kardashian-Jenner clan are known for giving their children standout names. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's children are called North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm West. Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott opted for more elemental names with Stormi and Aire, although they did originally call their son Wolf.

Speaking of animals, you might think Cheryl and Liam Payne's son, Bear, is one-of-a-kind moniker, but he actually shares his name with Kate Winslet's son, Bear Blaze, and Alicia Silverstone's son, Bear Blu. Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka's daughter is called Harper. Who else is called Harper? David and Victoria Beckham's daughter, although her middle name, Seven, is definitely unique. Her footballer father says in many cultures, it is a lucky number.
From numbers to colors. Power couple Beyonce and Jay-Z have a daughter called Blue Ivy. And Sting and Frances Tomelty's daughter is called Fuchsia. Back in 2004, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin caused a stir by naming their daughter Apple. But they are not the only ones who name their children after popular foods. There's Drew Barrymore's daughter, Olive, Bear Grylls's son, Huckleberry, and Jack Nicholson's daughter, Honey. How sweet.
Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn purposely gave their two children-- Lyra Antarctica and Jupiter Seaborn-- distinctive names. Jules and Jamie Oliver's children all have fairytale-like names, too-- Poppy Honey Rosie, Daisy Boo Pamela, Petal Blossom Rainbow, Buddy Bear Maurice, and River Rocket Blue Dallas.
Former "Harry Potter" star Rupert Grint decided on a slightly more Gothic take, naming his daughter Wednesday, inspired by the "Addams Family" character. Another couple enchanted by famous fictional characters are "Love Islanders" Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury, calling their daughter Bambi, which is, of course, a Disney animated classic.
Some celeb families do keep it more traditional, though. Jada Pinkett and Will Smith gave their children names close to their own-- Jayden and Willow. And Jason Derulo named his son Jason King Derulo after himself. Some celebrity families like to create brand new names-- most famously, Elon Musk and Grimes, who have children named X AE A-12 and Exa Dark Siderael-- X and Y for short, of course.
