You might think pizza is the one food that’s perfect for any occasion. Hungover in bed? Get a Domino’s. Date night somewhere fun-yet-effortless? Go out for pizza. Can’t be bothered to cook Christmas dinner? Er…we might have found the exception.

Because Asda’s Christmas pizza isn’t just a few token slices of turkey and some gravy drizzled around the crust – it goes the whole way.

Complete with chicken, brussel sprouts and even roast potatoes, it’s got cranberry sauce as well as passata and cheese to well and truly confuse your tastebuds.

It comes in two sizes and at £2.60 for a 10″ pizza and £4 for a 14” it’s significantly cheaper than making a whole Christmas dinner.

But if you’re someone who politely refuses sprouts each year then this pizza might not be for you. And don’t even get us started on the idea of roast potatoes as a topping.

As with most controversial culinary delights, the Internet is undecided as to whether a Christmas pizza is the answer to our cooking-themed prayers or a nightmare in itself.

And while we don’t think we’ll replace our Christmas day feast with a pizza, we’d definitely be open to trying it out in the festive season.

You can buy the Christmas pizza in Asda stores from 7 December.
