Along with putting up the decorations and planning out exactly what you’re going to buy your friends and family, Christmas sandwiches are an integral part of the festive season.

By now, you’re probably used to fighting your corner for your favourite flavour, be it turkey and stuffing, brie and cranberry or something slightly more diverse like chocolate and cherry (Tesco, we’re looking at you).

But if Christmas flavoured sandwiches just aren’t getting you in the mood for Michael Bublé and putting up the tree, maybe a Christmas shaped sandwich will do the trick.

Sadly, we’re not talking trees or candy-canes, but you can now buy a snow globe shaped sandwich complete with mini stars at Sainsbury’s – although we wouldn’t recommend shaking it.

The latest edition to the festive menu consists of a brioche bun filled with butter-basted British turkey breast, beechwood smoked streaky bacon, brussel sprout slaw, pork stuffing, mayo, cranberry and port sauce, and spinach.

Sainsbury’s launched their festive range on 6 November, which includes another five sandwiches and ‘dashing through the sloe’ juice.

Meaning that, if you really wanted, you could probably eat nothing but Christmas sandwiches up until the day itself.
