The One Show's Alex Jones' brutal one word response to Motsi Mabuse's wish on Strictly tour

The One Show's Alex Jones shared a brutal one word response to a guest's wish on her latest tour. The Welsh presenter hosted the BBC magazine show alongside Vernon Kay, with Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse and actress Eve Myles on the red sofa as guests on Wednesday evening (January 15).

The pair opened the show to introduce their guests, with the hosts discussing Motsi Mabuse's appearance on the Strictly Come Dancing tour.

Vernon Kay revealed Motsi will be excited to try regional dishes across the country, including Glasgow, Leeds, Nottingham, London and Sheffield. He teased the Strictly Come Dancing judge will enjoy the popular Scottish dish haggis.

He said: "Joining us in the studio is someone we know very well - Strictly's Motsi Mabuse is here to reveal why she's looking forward to joining the team on tour and sampling some of the UK's best dishes along the way including she's going to have her first haggis!"

Alex Jones turned to Vernon and simply said: "Brave!"

Vernon Kay laughed and said: "It's brilliant haggis! You not a haggis fan?" Laughing, Alex responded: "I don't know, I have never tried it! Bring some in,"

Haggis is a savoury Scottish dish of minced sheep's offal, oatmeal, suet, onion, and spices, traditionally cooked in a sheep's stomach. Its ingredients make the dish an acquired taste and not popular with some diners.

Haggis is traditionally served as part of the Burns supper on or near January 25 and is a proud Scottish dish.

Motsi Mabuse will be making her Strictly Come Dancing tour debut, joining her fellow judges for 30 live shows. The judge revealed on The One Show it was finally time for her to join the tour after getting the blessing from her daughter.

She added: "Yes, I'm actually really excited (about going on the Strictly Come Dancing tour).

"I seem to be the only person that's excited about touring the UK at this (time of the) year. Everybody's like, it's gonna rain but I've never been here like in with such an extent.

"I'm going to Glasgow and I've never been to Scotland. My parents are coming over (...) and I said I don't care what the weather's like, you know, you can dress right, you can put a raincoat and go out there.

"I'm going to meet some of the Strictly candidates like meeting Dr Punam (Krishan) so I'm going to get a whole bash of the country, and sightseeing and everything I can do."

The One Show airs every weekday at 7pm on BBC One.
