Britney Spears reveals she feels 'gaslit' and 'tricked' in hotel incident aftermath - 'I feel mistreated'
Britney Spears hit headlines once again this week after being photographed outside of the Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles wearing just underwear, a blanket over her shoulders and clutching a pillow to hide her chest.
The dishevelled-looking star, 42, had suffered a foot injury inside the hotel and left barefoot before being rushed into an ambulance. And now, Britney has claimed that she was 'gaslit' and 'tricked' into leaving the hotel in the first place - leaving her embarrassed over the ordeal.
With many drawing similarities between these pictures and those taken in 2008 of Britney when she suffered a mental breakdown, the star took to Instagram to assure this wasn't a similar situation. She wrote: "I honestly wish my life was as wild as it has been portrayed !!! Either way, some s*** actually has happened to my foot and I might have to get surgery ... fingers crossed, hopefully not but I feel that I was harassed and gaslit and tricked to go on the street when my car was supposed to be there !!!".
"I was in my pajamas and yes, I had been crying because I hurt my foot !!! No breakdown !!! I’m a grown ass woman who is actually very naive in most situations !!! I am simply embarrassed they got me in my damn pajamas !!! I don’t feel loved … I feel mistreated !!! With that said, I’m going to treat myself this week !!!"
Britney, who was in the hotel with her reported boyfriend Paul Soliz, shared videos of her foot to Instagram earlier in the week, claiming that she was attempting to leap around the room when the injury happened.
Explaining the injury, she said: "OK guys, so you know, I really twisted my ankle last night, it's so bad. Don't look at my feet, I need a manicure. F*****g idiot here tries to do a leap in the living room at the Chateau and I fell.
"Embarrassed myself, and that's it. Paramedics came to my door illegally and, of course, caused this huge scene which was so unnecessary. All I needed was ice, it is actually pretty bad, but yeah, s*** happens."
The former pop princess was said to be celebrating reaching a divorce settlement with husband Sam Asghari during the wild night with Paul, who was initially hired to perform maintenance around Britney's home and is said to have been her boyfriend since her split from Sam.
