Britain's Got Talent in 'fix row' as Golden Buzzer act has already worked with major star

Fans of Britain's Got Talent have questioned if the show is a "fix" after discovering a Golden Buzzer act has worked with a major pop star. Viewers are debating the fairness of the popular ITV talent show after it was revealed that the act had previously appeared on another television programme.

The hit talent show made its comeback this Saturday, featuring a medley of acts from around the country. All were vying for a chance to showcase their prowess at the famed Royal Variety Performance, and take home a jaw-dropping prize of £250,000.

It didn't take long for one performer to win over the country with her powerful voice, a performance that secured her place in the live shows.

After delivering a soulful rendition of (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin, 39 year old Taryn Charles was moved to tears as she received a standing ovation from the judges - Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Bruno Tonioli, and Alesha Dixon, who commended her impressive performance.

Bruno then chose to activate his Golden Buzzer, propelling her directly into the semi-finals round. Alongside being a singer, Taryn works as a special needs educator, using singing as a means to assist children in their rehabilitation, and stated during her audition that she applied to the show primarily to "make people smile" reports the Mirror.

Despite this, Taryn seemed familiar to some sharp-eyed viewers who had spotted her on another ITV singing show.

According to some telly sleuths, she'd previously dazzled the audience on Olly Murs-fronted Starstruck, a series where singers transform into their musical heroes, with a celebrity judging panel featuring Sheridan Smith, Adam Lambert and Beverley Knight.

Fans quickly voiced their irritation, with one lamenting: "Taryn Charles is already a professional singer, so you would expect her to have a good voice. Not fair on all the amateurs."

Another quipped: "I remember Taryn from Starstruck #BGT."

A third echoed their sentiment, complaining: "Yet again another professional singer? ? Taryn Charles. What has happened to #BGT? ".

In contrast, judges and viewers alike were left in awe by dancers Abigail, just seven, and Afronitaaa, 20, whose jaw-dropping performance was hailed as "the best audition yet". Amanda Holden raved: "You are two of the most fantastic dancers we have ever had on Britain's Got Talent."

But, it wasn't all smooth sailing - some fans were upset that the pair missed out on a Golden Buzzer. One miffed Twitter user lashed out, "@antanddec should've broken the rules and pushed the golden buzzer a second time for Abigail. THAT is what that buzzer is for! #BGT #BritainsGotTalent".

Another bemoaned, "That last act was amazing .. really deserved a golden buzzer #BGT" while a third chimed in, "No golden buzzer? How? #BGT."
