Bridgerton star goes public with dancer girlfriend as they enjoy date night in London
Bridgerton's heartbreaker, Luke Newton, has gone public about his relationship after treating fans to a steamy six-minute scene.
The Netflix sensation was spotted with his new love, Greek dancer Antonia Roumelioti, following the Bridgerton afterparty in London on Wednesday. The 31 year old heartthrob had kept his love life private until recently, but he couldn't hide his affection for the talented 23 year old, who is known for her performances on Dancing on Ice and Greece's Got Talent.
Rumours had been swirling since April, but now it's official they are an item! However, not everyone saw this coming. Many Bridgerton enthusiasts, especially those that were left fearing for the future of the show after the season 3 finale, were placing their bets on Luke and his co-star Nicola Coughlan, who teased she has a very busy year, being an item off-screen as well.
To which Nicola jokingly responded that she takes it as a compliment to their acting skills, insisting they're nothing more than "lovely friends", reports the Mirror.
She revealed: "We think it's really sweet, I think because we truly love each other, you know what I mean? He is a really special person in my life, and I got to do this experience with him. I'll never get to do something like this again, on this scale. Like are you kidding me? Like, we're here in New York City, having our premiere. So it's so nice having such a lovely friend that I can do all this with."
She also shared how their off-screen bond made the steamy scenes a breeze, saying, "We would be like, in between scenes, and they were like, 'Do you wanna get up and put your clothes on? ' We're like, 'We'll just chill here.' Like, in under the blankets. But then we have the advantage of knowing each other for years."
The latest Bridgerton buzz is all about Luke's confirmation following the release of more sizzling episodes from season three on the streaming service. The show, which centres on the budding romance between Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington, doesn't shy away from explicit content, including a lengthy six-minute love scene.
In episode five, viewers were treated to an almost six-minute-long intimate encounter that began with Colin undressing Penelope from behind before he admires her in the nude. The temperature rises as Colin instructs her to 'lie down', leading them to continue their passionate exchange on a chaise lounge.
Luke bared it all while Nicola went completely nude for the sequence, a decision she made to boldly defy body shamers, calling it the "biggest f**k you" to critics. During the intense moment, a novice Penelope implores Colin to guide her, pleading, "tell her what to do". He responds, "I will do everything."
