Beyoncé debuts a new 'do, as fellow celebs go shorter too
Fans have been treated to seeing what Beyoncé looks like with a new super short do.
The singer, known for her long and flowing hair, has had quite the transformation with her latest look, which features a striking honey blonde bob, complete with blunt fringe.
In shots for her fashion brand Ivy Park's collab campaign with Adidas for Valentine's Day, the 40-year-old is wearing all red in each image, accentuating her new sleek, straight hair, cut sharply at chin level.
While it might be a temporary wig, Queen B is clearly here for the change, as she even switched her Instagram profile picture to reflect the look.
The bob has caught the attention of her fans, known as the Beyhive, who've dubbed her "Bobbyonce" in @weareivypark's Instagram comments.
Another compared her to ex Editor-in-Chief Vogue editor Anna Wintour, who rocks a very similar blunt cut, fringed, honey bob, saying, "Ok Bey Wintour."
But while Beyoncé has made waves with her new look, she's not the first celeb to showcase a new hairstyle this year, with many kicking 2022 off with something a little different – though there's a common theme among what most of them have gone for.
Chrissy Teigen
Chrissy Teigen shared her new look of the year on Instagram at the beginning of January, writing, "fresh cut! I know I know snip snap snip snap", crediting @nikki_makeup for her face, and @lukepluckrose for her new shorter hair.
But the 36-year-old's straight, blonde, middle parted 'do caught the attention of fans for the slightly different reason that many mistook her for Khloe Kardashian, known for her very similar trademark hairstyle.
One commented, "Anyone else thought she was khloe at first glance?", while another wrote, "Is this the Khloe Kardashian filter?", and another said, "Hey Khloe! Where's Chrissy?"
Luckily there's enough room for two Khloe-esque hairstyles this year.

Lea Michele
Lea Michele also started the new year with a "big change", featuring a sleek bob, with bobs clearly being on-trend for 2022.
Her hair stylist Tommy Buckett shared a snap of the Glee star's new look, writing, "The first haircut I gave in 2022!!! I hope everyone is as brave this year as @leamichele to make a big change" while she shared the same image herself with the caption, "2022 ready."
The actor previously opened up about her hair loss in January last year, after having a baby, sharing a picture of it falling out on her Instagram stories, reportedly writing at the time, "The postpartum hair loss is REAL."
With a selfie, she also wrote, "Enjoying this long hair while it lasts because the mom bob is right around the corner," hinting at the reason for her new look this year.

Emily Ratajkowski
Emily Ratajkowski first post of the year showcased her trying out a new fringe – also evidently in for 2022. Signalling the new year, she wrote, "Twenty twenty too" with pictures of her with a '60s style full, long fringe, and blow dried do.
The last time the writer, model and actor had a big change was in the summer of 2020, whens she swapped her signature brunette hair for bright blonde, which she reflected on last summer when she was back to brunette. Maybe this summer she'll be tempted to go for the drastic change again...

Kesha
Kesha, who's pretty much always had some shade of long light hair during her career, whether it's blonde, grey, pastel purple, blue, or green, finally went dark dark and short short in January.
Sharing the look on Instagram, she captioned the post, "Haircut n nails n sh*t," showing her hair cut to her cheekbones, with a new short fringe, deep brunette in colour.
Are you tempted to try out a bob and out-fringe these celebs this year?
