Ashley Roberts ‘heartbroken’ after friend's death as she joins celebs paying emotional tributes

Ashley Roberts is 'heartbroken' following the death of her friend, as she joined a host of celebrities paying emotional tributes. The Heart radio presenter, 42, took to Instagram to share singer-songwriter Bobby Newberry's devastating post about the loss of his beloved husband Anthony "T.J" Paradise.

Ashley commented on the post: "Our poor T.J. Heartbroken," accompanied by a heart, wings and a praying hands emoji. Bobby also shared a heartfelt message for his partner of 20 years, alongside a black and white photo of the late star from his hospital bed.

His emotional statement read: "With the heaviest heart I have to let everyone know that my beautiful husband T.J. lost his four year battle with cancer on 5/4/24.

"e was surrounded by loved ones and even in this dark time there was so much light and love in the room. If you met him even once you knew how much of an impact he had on the world around him. Nothing will ever be the same. I had twenty and a half years of love and memories and now I have a lifetime of missing you. I love you, my sweetheart."

Ashley responded with a touching comment, writing: "Can't believe it. He will be forever loved. May he spread his wings. I love you so much Swiss."

She added: "Love you both so much. I'm so so sorry." Drag Race’s Michelle Visage also said: "Ohhhhh Bobby I have no words. Sorry doesn’t cover it. You are both embedded in each others lives forever with so much love.”

Ashley, 38, was born in Phoenix, Arizona, and joined The Pussycat Dolls in 2003.
Ashley paid tribute to her friend's husband with sweet comment

Modern Family actress Sarah Hyland commented, saying: "Oh Bobby. Heartbroken. Sending all my love your way. He was such a beautiful light with an incredible heart. I love you so much." Actress Ashley Tisdale also shared her sympathy for the star, “My heart is broken. I love you guys.”

Bobby has been best friends with Ashley for the past 10 years after meeting her during her days in the Pussycat Dolls. Following the completion of their 2009 world tour, The Pussycat Dolls went on hiatus and fully disbanded in 2010.
