Whilst many celebrity BAFTA-goers were no doubt nursing a sore head this morning after the big night on Sunday, 12 May, Ant McPartlin is sure to have woken up fresh as a daisy after leaving the TV awards early and heading home.

The 48 year old ITV presenter was seen leaving in a chauffeur-driven car, still wearing his smart tuxedo that he had earlier posed on the red carpet in.

Before getting into the car, Ant could be seen in great spirits as he hugged a mystery blonde woman outside the venue.

Ant was likely keen to get back home to his heavily-pregnant wife, Anne-Marie Corbett, who didn't join him at the BAFTAs on Sunday night.

Ant and Anne-Marie are set to become parents together for the first time this summer. Ant is already a step-dad to Anne-Marie's two daughters from a previous relationship.

Recent pictures show Anne-Marie, 46, proudly displaying her baby bump while out with Ant on a double date with Jamie Redknapp and his wife Frida Andersson.

Ant has publicly expressed his desire to become a dad in the past, opening up about the struggles he and his ex-wife Lisa Armstrong, 47, went through trying to have a baby.

Opening up to the Radio Times, Ant confessed: "There's a rumour that we do everything together and I'm holding off having kids till Dec finds himself Mrs Right. I love that idea, but I'm afraid it's not true. Lisa and I would love to have kids. We're trying."

He candidly concluded: "It's tougher than you think."

Ant and Lisa ended their marriage in 2018 and he went on to strike up a relationship with Anne-Marie, his former PA.

He and Anne-Marie tied the knot in 2021, and three years later, they are taking the next step into parenthood together.

Despite looking forward to life as a dad, Ant is still busy on TV, has he's currently hosting Britain's Got Talent, alongside his longterm co-host, Declan Donnelly.

Earlier this year, the pair bid farewell to their Saturday Night Takeaway show after 20 years on-air.

Prior to the birth of his first child, Ant recently treated himself to a flashy Aston Martin car.

He was photographed near his London home with his new black five-door DBX 707 SUV, which has plenty of space for Anne-Marie, 46, and their incoming little one to travel in style.

Ant is estimated to have spent around £250,000 on the smart high performance jeep which currently has a one year waiting list.
