Amal Clooney outshines husband George at his carpet reunion with Julia Roberts
There are few women who can outshine the mega-watt glow of Hollywood superstars. But at the world premiere of Ticket to Paradise in London, Amal Clooney took the spotlight from her actor husband George Clooney.
Human rights barrister Amal, 44, turned heads in an elegant full-length slip dress by John Galliano in a minty green hue. Amal proved you can't have too much sparkles, with both the beaded gown and diamond jewellery. She completed the look with her hair styled in a glamorous side sweep of brunette curls.
And George didn’t look too shabby either in a navy blue three-piece suit.
Gorgeous George has previously joked he’s a ‘trophy husband’ when he attends events with his wife.

Later that evening, the couple attended the after party and whilst Amal kept her signature red lip, she slipped into another amazing dress. This time she had picked from celebrity favourite Stella McCartney’s Fall ‘21 runway.
A sequinned canary yellow mini-dress with flared sleeves showed off her toned legs.
George was in jeans and a sports jacket.

He must be more than used to his wife's spot-on fashion choices – her three-day wedding weekend in Venice included a wardrobe from Dolce & Gabbana, Alexander McQueen, Giambattista Valli and Stella McCartney. But he also accepts that her career is outshines his, too.

Shortly after their marriage in 2015, the comedians Tina Fey and Amy Poehler took aim at the actor having ‘married up’.
At the Golden Globes that year, they presented George with an award with the speech that compared his accomplishments with his wife, Amal.
"George Clooney married Amal Alamuddin this year," Fey said on stage at the award show, where George was set to be honoured with the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille prize. "Amal is a human rights lawyer who worked on the Enron case, was an adviser to Kofi Annan regarding Syria, and was selected to a three-person U.N. commission investigating rules of war violations in the Gaza Strip. So tonight, her husband is getting a lifetime achievement award."

Meanwhile, Amal appears to shrug off her fashion success.
She once replied to a reporter who joked that everyone expected her to wear Versace to the courtroom: “I'm wearing Ede & Ravenscroft”. She was, of course, referring to the company who has been making the formal legal wear worn by judges and lawyers in Europe for centuries.
Our verdict: Stylish and Smart.
