Alexa Chung 'engaged' to boyfriend Tom Sturridge and planning summer wedding
Alexa Chung is reportedly engaged to Tom Sturridge, her boyfriend of two years.. The 40 year old model and TV presenter has apparently been sharing the exciting news with family and close friends, ahead of their big day this summer.
Before her relationship with 38 year old actor Tom - known for his roles in films like The Boat That Rocked, Like Minds and Being Julia, and more recently seen in Netflix fantasy series The Sandman - Alexa had several high-profile relationships. Her most significant one was with Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner, with whom she shared a four-year romance from 2007 to 2011, before briefly reuniting in 2014.
Despite parting ways, they are believed to have remained friends. Other famous exes include Swedish actor Alexander Skarsgard.
Tom, Alexa's soon-to-be husband, also has a history of dating celebrities, having previously been in a relationship with actress Sienna Miller. The former couple, who were briefly engaged, were together for four years and share an 11 year old daughter Marlowe, born in 2012.
They split in 2020 and Sienna, 42, recently welcomed a baby girl, whose name hasn't been revealed, with new boyfriend Oli Green, 27. However, it seems there's no bad blood as both couples have been spotted hanging out together, reports the Mirror.
Speaking about Alexa’s upcoming nuptials, a source told The Sun: "Alexa has confirmed to her friends that she is indeed engaged to Tom and she is over the moon. She is in a great place and seems completely head over heels for him. They're a great match. They have been hard at work planning a wedding with all of their close pals there. It won't be a massive over the top affair, but a smaller, classier and cooler bash."
OK! has contacted Alexa's reps for comment.
Tom and Alexa turned heads with their public display of affection at Wimbledon in July 2022, sharing a smooch right behind his ex Sienna and her new beau Oli. However, whispers suggest the pair were an item long before they went public.
Fast forward to May 2023, and the couple dazzled on the red carpet together for the first time at the Met Gala. Last year, the rumour mill went into overdrive when Alexa was seen sporting what looked like an engagement ring.
