At 57, Salma Hayek embraces her ‘white hair’ in vacation snap
While other celebrities reach for root touch-up sprays between hair appointments, Salma Hayek lets her white hair fly—even on vacation. The 57-year-old shared a sunny snap from Ibiza in which she embraced her salt-and-pepper strands and her swimsuit.
In the photo, she posed on a yacht with a Spanish flag. “Yellow bikini + White hair = perfect combination,” she captioned the post. Hayek’s followers couldn’t help but agree. “Hottie ❤️❤️,” one person commented. “Natural beauty is what you are,” another added. “Obsessed,” someone else wrote.
This isn’t the first time the Magic Mike 3 star has showed off her snowy locks. In August 2023, she displayed how wearing her sunglasses on top of her head as a headband revealed dense white patches above her ears. “Bring on the wisdom,” she wrote. In July 2023, she proudly captured a close-up of her “white hair and wrinkles” in a makeup-free selfie taken after rolling out of bed. “Me waking up and counting how many white hairs and wrinkles have crashed the party this morning,” she wrote.
Clearly, Hayek is not ashamed of her age. In fact, she thinks ageing is “beautiful,” she told Glamour in February 2023. “I thought getting older meant I wasn’t going to work; I’m working,” she said. “I thought getting older maybe meant that you’re not in love anymore; I’m in love. I don’t feel that I lost my flexibility or my agility or even my strength. I do have to say that I have found it beautiful, getting older with someone.”
And while she’s not afraid of looking her age, Hayek also has a few tricks up her sleeves for staying youthful. She’s never had Botox, but she swears by using frequency facial devices (like the NuFace and Solawave Wand) in conjunction with mediation to maintain her glow. “Just the meditation itself … sometimes when I’m doing it, people tell me when I come out of the room, ‘Oh my God, you look 20 years old,’” she told Kelly Ripa on her Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast.
And when it comes to Hayek’s career, she’s not just working—she’s thriving. You hardly don’t see her on a red carpet these days—the latest event being the premiere of Blink Twice.
