Mount Everest to get free wifi



Some people choose to travel to the mountains to avoid their screens, hoping to reconnect with nature.

But some just can't leave their devices at home... And luckily for these people, officials at The Nepal Telecommunications Authority have decided to add wifi to Lukla-Everest Base Camp and Annapurna Base Camp.

This will make the spots the highest elevations in the world where free wifi is available.

The measure is being made not only with the aim of providing safety measures for those adventurers who decide to tackle Mount Everest, but also to promote more tourism to the area, as providing free wifi means they are providing themselves with free social media exposure...
